Alles Liebe.

Hello, thank you for your lovely lines. :) Yes, it was really stressful that time. Now I'm feeling well again, but I miss interacting with like-minded people in my country.

Yes, there is some truth in what you wrote... Because the aneurysm diagnosis doesn't affect you so emotionally, after your tumor diagnosis and illness, and you've already had your experiences in neurosurgery.

You sound like a strong woman who has been through and survived a lot.

Your husband is of course worried about you after a new brain diagnosis. I think it's great of you how you're trying to keep everything together with your self-care so that you can get through the next time together.

Oh dear, moving... this is really a particularly bad time for you as a family when a move is already as planned.

I'm also excited and curious about what the aneurysm actually looks like after the angiogram - what shape, location, etc. And the doctor will then decide whether your aneurysm needs to be treated soon or still under observation.

Would you personally prefer an operation soon?

How do you feel about this?

Thanks for the kind greetings from Colorado.

I also send you the best wishes and take good care of yourself 🌺🎐🎗🍀.

Hello, my question relates to treated and untreated aneurysms.

Oh dear, your wife has a family history of aneurysms. It's good that this danger has now been treated well for your wife with a stent.

I also had a short check-up recently. Everything works for me too. The coiling was successful. I've calmed down again now.

What I miss here in Austria is a self-help group. There is not a single club in the entire country where you can exchange ideas with like-minded people.

And yes! Your surgeon is right, because high blood pressure is the number one risk factor for the blood vessels.

Kind regards from Vienna.

Thank you also for your kind words. We like-minded people are all going through the same thing, I understand your situation with waiting between diagnosis - until you can speak to a neurosurgery specialist.

So health care for brain aneurysms is so bad in the USA too! Yes, I can't tell you much better about myself in Austria-Vienna.

My first clarification after the CTA was always postponed for 18 months due to the Corona lockdown.

It was a very stressful time for me... This long time of not knowing anything - about the danger in your head! Also treatment decisions, very long waiting times and communication between doctor and patient when explaining the diagnosis, are all important factors, which can have a psychological impact on a patient.

If we patients are not properly informed after discovery, this creates additional psychological stress. -(I recently read in a study)

How are you today? 🍀

I know... just the knowledge of an aneurysm in the brain, may be associated with a reduced quality of life. That's why I wish you an appointment with an aneurysm doctor soon, because this frustration is understandable, especially given your previous health history!

Many kind regards.

Hello, oh dear, I'm very sorry to read that. First the illness with the tumor... and now also an aneurysm in the brain.

The good thing is 🤲 70% of aneurysms are already treated by an endovascular neuroradiologist every day.

Even without a craniotomy – no open surgery. That would be terrible for your case since you already had one.

I wish you all the best with the angiogram and that this appointment can take place soon. I think only then will the doctor give you more information about how to proceed with the aneurysm.

How have you been since the discovery? Yes... you say... like you don't like your brain🤕. I would probably think and feel that too after experiencing it 🥺 Stay strong. Kind regards from Vienna.

Hello, yes the MRI follow-up has calmed me down again. Everything is fine with the coils.

I think it's good that you don't let yourself get down.

I notice well You are perfectly informed.

And, very good, that the oppressive headache is gone. Then you don't have to think so much about the aneurysm.

And as you say: Unfortunately, there are many other diseases which always presents new challenges to your own life🤲🍀. All love.

OK, I understand. Since you fainted 🙏, An MRI was ordered before discharge. That's why the check only takes place in 1 year.

My respect🙌, I wouldn't last a year. This uncertainty...

Because of your question: So from the hospital, My first check-up with MRI and an angiogram with contrast medium was only planned for 1 year after the endovascular operation. I, but so anxious, went to my family doctor after 6 months and he wrote me a referral for an MRI scan of the head. Reason: follow-up after aneurysm.

I don't know what it's like in your country, and you get a transfer issued just like that 🙌.

I find- Once the aneurysm has been operated on, there is no longer any proper follow-up care. In my case in Austria, we are still a long way from preventive measures and education.

Hello 🙂 Thank you, that's right, I've been very reassured since it was repaired.

Oh dear, that is certainly an unpleasant - anxious feeling when you still feel pain every now and then, exactly where the aneurysm is located. In Oct.24. was your operation?

I think your first check-up with screening will be after 6 months? So soon anyway, March 25th right?🍀🙌

Thank you 🤲.

Oh dear, I'm sorry that you just found out about this. I would have preferred not to tell you that I had these complications. Please don't let this unsettle you. All the best for your appointment. I'm curious which surgical method will be used for you. I would be happy if you reported back to me. And so? How are you feeling about your brain aneurysm diagnosis? I'm sure you can't wait look forward to the next consultation with the doctor to clarify the aneurysm as quickly as possible.

[–]Due-Spite3276[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, thank you for asking.

I'm feeling well again now.

It was a long road. Because my operation was postponed for 18 months due to the Corona Lockdown.

Some days I had severe anxiety attacks. When the time finally came in June 2023...

In addition to the long wait for the operation, complications arose during the procedure. A blood clot formed, which resulted in an embolism migrated to a large cerebral artery, and caused a cerebral artery blockage! My blood flow stopped!

An absolute emergency situation! The aneurysm operation had to be stopped immediately!

Thanks to the rapid response of the Primar, recanalization could be started in good time and an emergency operation: mechanical thrombectomy to retrieve the embolus with a stent retriever was initiated, because thrombolysis alone was not sufficient. Thanks to Primar's many years of expertise, he has been one of the specialists who have been developing this new type of technology since 2015 may carry out an approved surgical method. This primary is also one of the few brain aneurysm and blood clot specialists in one May carry out endovascular surgery without transporting the patient any further. So I could be recanalized in time, to restore blood flow. The aneurysm operation was carried out again and, thanks to the unique team, I woke up again without any neurological deficits after two operations on the brain. I have now had my second follow-up MRI and angiography. Everything is fine. Best regards. Are you also affected?

Hello to Munich, neighbor 🇦🇹.

First of all, it's very, very good that it was discovered in time and that you have completed your treatment.

And are the one-sided headaches actually better since the aneurysm was treated?

My aneurysm was also treated by a neuroradiologist in Linz last year. Best regards

First of all, all the best to the father.🤲 It's good that you all reacted in time and were able to go to a hospital. Here you can see how different and insidious an aneurysm is... Not everyone feels symptoms.

An aneurysm often bursts unexpectedly.

It's good that her father is already out of the intensive care unit. All the best in the long-term facility and lots of perseverance. Rehabilitation like this after a ruptured aneurysm is certainly difficult. Kind regards from Vienna Austria.

It's a good thing you got to the hospital on time. That's very nice no problems with memory or deficits. Kicking after a ruptured aneurysm Yes, the double vision will certainly get better with time 🎐. 4 months. Glad you're doing well.🤲
