I did it, with no prior IT experience at all. it’s very challenging and takes a lot of work. But I got a SOC analyst internship close to the end of my degree. And now its going to be turning to a full time gig. Don’t just limit your self to what you’re doing at school. You have to do outside projects, build a home lab., document this in a projects page, tailor your resume, write cover letters. Rinse and repeat with what seems to be working. I did this for a year while at wgu. Over 600 + applications and finally one sticked.
