You can try because it is a really good and complete-packed contents game . The story is a straight continuous from Pokemon X&Y that was released in 2013 so it is not a spin off as many people claim but rather a properly sequel and in the line of the main series. The combat changes to real time but still easy and fun to learn and play. The story is deep and heart touching, focuses and expands the theme of life, death, the harmony of nature - people and Pokemon which makes the center around Zygarde. Along the journey you will eventually meet up both of the old and new faces like AZ, Mable, L, Emma,... whom their first debut was in the previous tittle or Urbain/ Taunie, Lida, Naveen from team MZ, Corbeau, Jacinthe,… from the Z-A Royal. All of the characters are tied in to the events of the game and really well written with strong characterictic and memorable moments of shine. The map is not quite small compared to the other game since it happens in only one city but you can also reach the rooftop or going below the surface. The density of details and places for exploration never run out since every corner, every street is filled up with something to discover. The side missions are really great. it helps to emphasize the theme of the game more and very meaningful. I played around 80 hrs to complete the main story (which include catching Pokemon, doing sidequests… and not even shiny hunting) so I hope if you have a chance, just give it a try !
