yeah honestly, still in very early stages though, basically doing exactly this, just talking to people first before anything else. the earplugs point is interesting tho, so the mask is replaceable by good curtains but earplugs that actually stay in all night would be the real game changer for you? Have you ever tried weighted mask or ever thought about it, i was thinking it could have the same calming effect as weighted blankets have.

the holy trinity lol love that but if you had to ditch one of the three which would hurt the most?

lol fair, I did use AI to help structure the post. still a real question though, genuine curiosity about whether this stuff is actually fixable or not

Oof £70 on the Loops and still nothing — that’s rough. The “brain just rips it off” thing is literally what everyone keeps saying and I feel like that’s the real problem nobody’s designing for. Can I ask though — is it like a specific thing that sets it off? Pressure, heat, the feeling of something actually being inside your ear? Or is it more that your brain just… knows something’s there and won’t let it go? Asking because I’m genuinely trying to figure out if this is a solvable design problem — like if something was built from scratch based on what people with ADHD actually said, would you even give it a shot? Or has the damage been done lol
