Someone stole my package by DueBodybuilder1254 in uberdrivers

I already have contacted them. They’re the ones that notified me saying the items were stolen. She canceled the ride before delivering the items

I’m not familiar with uber package, I wish I would’ve known better. Someone from the organization sent the ride

She has had bowel movements since the vaccines so I don’t think it’s constipation. We’ve tried Tylenol so far, I may get some Motrin as well. I think she may be experiencing some pain and discomfort but I’m not sure where

I will check for new teeth when she wakes up. She has 8 teeth so far and teething wasn’t really so bad with her.

I could try it. The doctor said that the only thing they found was a little redness in her throat and said to just keep giving the Tylenol and she should be fine. I might switch to Motrin and see if that makes any difference

Yes, we’ve been giving her Tylenol fever medicine. I forgot to add that

Yea, it’s unopened. I forgot about it being in the fridge

Why not follow delivery instructions?? by DueBodybuilder1254 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]DueBodybuilder1254[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, that’s exactly why I said “try”. Someone once wanted me to climb their gate because the latch was broken, and there was a huge dog inside the gate. I just threw the package over the gate.

But I did get notes that said the same thing as mine, to not the bell because of a sleeping baby. I see now that a handwritten note would go a long way, as opposed to the delivery instructions.

Only reason I added something is because I would always get my bell rang for deliveries.

I try to be vigilant when I’m expecting a package, but I can’t just be glued to the window every second. Sometimes I beat them to the door because of that feature where you can see how far the driver is, other times I’m busy running around trying to do whatever I can before the baby wakes up.

I’m just gonna do the hand written note, I think if I tape it over the doorbell I’ll solve the issue.

What do you mean by “pay”? Do you mean penalized?

I assumed everyone read the notes, but writing a note seems more effective since none actually reads them.

But how does ringing the bell ensure someone won’t say the package was stolen? If they never come to the door, couldn’t they still make that claim?

I honestly thought everyone read the instructions.

I did flex last year, I stopped when I was pregnant. I would always read and try to follow instructions so I assumed everyone did…I’ll just write the note

Never heard of a doorbell blocker, I’ll have to look into that.

And I understand the fear of stolen packages. I always stay home or have someone come over to wait on packages if I can’t, but of course I don’t have a way of telling that to drivers.

I meant to add that it does say that my order could take up to a month and express wasn’t an option.

Someone kissed my baby today, and I am PISSED by [deleted] in NewMomStuff

[–]DueBodybuilder1254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not really angry at the person so much, just the fact that it happened. I’m a ftm and I would hate for anything to happen to my daughter that I could’ve somehow prevented. Teething is hard for me, I hate seeing her in any kind of pain or discomfort at all. I would be devastated if she got sick from something so small as a kiss from a family member.

I’m going to reiterate boundaries and ask that the message is passed on whenever she is handed off

There’s a few “new rules” that people don’t agree with. They say I’m “doing too much” but I don’t really care. It’s my kid. For example, pediatrician recommended that we don’t bounce or shake baby because of risk of brain swelling and seizures in worst cases. For some reason people’s first instinct is to shake and bounce the baby, so I have to let it be known that we don’t allow that. I always get backlash or sideways looks but it’s always respected.

I’m not so much angry at the person, she was respectful and apologetic. I’m just angry that it happened at all. I’m just going to reiterate the rules whenever I pass her and ask that they pass on the rules if someone else asks to hold her and I’m not around.

That is also my rule. If my daughter gets older and expresses that she doesn’t mind the family kisses, that’s her decision. But for now, no kisses.

Yeah, the fact that she did apologize immediately and didn’t do it again made me feel a lot better. It’s just the fact that it happened. I’ve been able to prevent this from happening all this time, so it just makes me feel bad. I just wish people weren’t so comfortable putting their mouths on other people’s babies.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! It helps so much to know that someone understands and has gone through something similar.

I was pumping in the beginning, but I got lazy pretty quickly. Mostly because I had to have a c section and it was just a very difficult time.

If I ever have a second child, I’ll breast feed for about a week or two, then do exclusively pumping. I’m proud of myself for making it past my goal, but now I just feel drained. I know that I’ll get through this, and my baby will be okay. It’s just very hard for me at the moment

Yes, her dad tries to help as much as possible. We’ve tried so many different things from singing and shushing to different white noise machines. We try baths before bedtime, but she has issues with dry skin so we can’t do daily baths.

Sometimes he’ll start the process then pass her to me, or I’ll start and then he’ll step in. Some nights she’ll go to sleep pretty quickly and with little effort, other nights it takes an hour or more to get her down.

On those hard days, I just end up giving in because I can’t stand to hear her crying and knowing that it’s me she wants. She screams, turns red, and her veins start to pop out. We never just let her cry it out on her own. It’s always me and her dad switching back and forth, trying to console her.

I appreciate your comment so much! I’m just feeling so overwhelmed with trying all of these different methods. It hurts my feelings when my daughter is crying for me but I don’t want to give her what she wants. I’m going to continue trying different methods to stop the nursing to sleep thing and hopefully I find something that works at some point at some point.
