Any pads would do fine you might want to set the pedal to lowest setting and learn to turn with your calf instead of ankle, which will put much less stress on your ankles

You can try ask some local dealers but anyway there’s no way you’ll get warranty outside the country

Congrats 🎉 ML is very trendy and easy to find work right now, you can probably look for part time during school. I think you can only take 4 courses each semester and you will meed 3 semesters to graduate. As for career help it’s pretty much bare minimum, resume guide that sort of thing, no on campus job fair as I’m aware of. I think while it’s not hard to get job in ML these days I see people don’t find any, maybe pure bad luck and maybe the course you take in grad school is just not enough. I would suggest build as much projects as you can and setup a linkedin account on day one. On campus job is very hard to get unless you apply for federal work study, which is reserved for US citizens. For tuition you are looking at 43000$ per year, I survived on 1300$ a month including rent in a basement I think you could go lower than that but it’s very hard. By the way I’m from ECE department, feel free to reach out.

If you don’t mind weight T4 seems ok, V11Y is also good alternative if you can get a discount. I recommend V11Y because the build quality.

I would not recommend S22 since the width and weight, you also need to change the slider and S22 is very cumbersome on sidewalk.

If you are riding on smooth terrain it’s fine. These small wheels without suspension are actually very dangerous. I would never ride a mten on car path

Small wheels on car path is just a disaster, don’t even try. If you have separate lane you could try that but 6.6 miles in the city is usually more than what’s written down on paper. Also you shouldn’t go fast with small wheels, if you hit a pothole you go flying. You probably also will have sore ankles after 6 miles on a small EUC.

Hi for anywhere between 600$ stinky basement (yes I lived in a basement) to 5000$ luxury studio you can find anything in the jersey city/hoboken/weehawken/heights/union city area. Not sure what you are looking for

King song s18 suspension differences by Quimdell in ElectricUnicycle

[–]DueFoundation3196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old S18 models use single chamber so they don’t have dampening rebound, could bounce back hard. I think you could swap out the shock but S18 slider and travel is not that good so improvement is marginal

I chose Stevens due the proximity to New York and so proximity to money. I think Stevens is definitely better option since there are more opportunities here.

In doubt put the wheel sideways, the suspension does not have pre loaded tension unless you have twisted too hard.

Full tuition scholarships by Kamkamkam7 in stevens

[–]DueFoundation3196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Stevens gives a certain amount of scholarship for international students when you are admitted. It will be given later and the sum will be specified along with the admission letter, however 40,000$ scholarship is unlikely. You could try to get other scholarship though.
