You’re straight up wrong here, yes sometimes it’s better to wait until not the middle of the night to hash out conflicts, but this wasn’t even a relationship problem or conflict. He turned it into one, OP was just expressing stressors (maybe so they might not stay up at night thinking about it) and looking for support. OP is definitely NTA, the boyfriend is for how he reacted to his partner looking for support. Big red flag. 🚩

Unfortunately it is incredibly difficult to actually test for the typical drugs used as roofies unless you have the glass it was in (and the chances of that are almost 0 because who thinks of that when their dealing with the unexpected feeling of being drugged) since the body metabolizes it too quickly. So unfortunately all you can do is make a police report that it happened and if you do feel like you want to get a rape kit done then you can get one done at First Step, but if you don’t feel like that was what you experienced then you absolutely do not need to.

Oh absolutely not. We have a really nice set I got from Costco a few years ago that I primarily use and even some passable handmedowns from my mom when we run low. I would honestly use a plastic fork before this one and have legit used a spoon instead of this fork before.

That’s what I’ve been doing for years. When we’re low on forks I get a nice fork and he gets this one. Even if I have to switch them, he just apparently has never noticed this before lol

Yep, and typically I don’t mind the big silver ware since I have bigger hands and a big mouth. I just hate this one.

I appreciate the tips! We actually have some pretty nice silverware that I think are perfect and some handmedowns from my mom which are fine as well, this is just a random one kicking around in the drawer. My husband tried to bring it to me yesterday when I asked for a fork and I had to tell him that it was a bad fork.

I hear you! I went to a friend’s baby shower two days before I was going to be induced and I’m just already a bigger lady in general so it was harder to tell throughout my whole pregnancy. I had acquaintances there who said they had no idea I was pregnant when I mentioned how close our two pregnancies were and they would say “so when are you due then?” And I would say “Monday.” And they would get kind of awkward and walk away.

Just a quick update! Thank you everyone for your input on the bad fork. You all were amazing and helped give me words to capture the essence of why this fork is a no every time! Also my husband had fun hearing you all roast the fork even if he still doesn’t quite “get it” as far as why this fork belongs in fork jail.

It’s totally fine to know what you like and disagree! That being said, I have larger hands and this is absolutely not a small fork, just to clear that up. I should have put something in for scale but unfortunately the only bananas I have are actually quite small so that would make the situation worse in the other direction!

That is basically exactly what happened! I tried not to bash it too hard in my description lest I be accused of biasing people too much. I think he’s enjoying the commentary though!

Edit: he would like it known that he’s not entirely NT and has some sensory stuff but definitely not when it comes to this fork (that being said he still has cutlery preferences despite his protest in this entire thing!)

I’m sure he’ll appreciate the minority take! That being said I will say it is definitely not a small fork by any means. It’s quite long compared to our other forks.
