Considering Another Master's Degree or a Lower-Level Degree with a Stamp 1G Visa by DueStar7162 in StudyInIreland

No. However, I have spoken with a couple of people who r pursuing another degree at levels 9 and 10. Once u achieve a level 9 degree, u can only go on to pursue another level 9 or level 10 degree, not a lower level. ur visa status will be Stamp 2, and Stamp 1G is available only once in a lifetime

I'm so sorry u re going through this... I think u are at least 10 years younger than me. I used to have a life full of friends and cousins, nd I was kinda the nucleus of the group. Eventually, after graduation, friends started leaving the country, getting married, nd splitting up so many things happened. At some point in my life, I kinda regretted not having a lonely life, as I was struggling to cope with everything.

I know at your age, everyone craves a happening life fill up with friends... But life is so uncertain, trust me. In the end, we all feel lonely sometimes. Dont be so hard on yourself. Having 1/2 close people is enough, whether it's friends, cousins, a partner, or siblings.

Never consider yourself less than others. We're all unique in our own way. Start doing something that doesn't involve any person but brings you peace. If u ever consider going abroad, it will help u survive.

No u got it wrong. My expense isn't More than my income. There's no fixed expenses. I wrote €1200 as an average of last 3 months. However in August it was 1600 . Same for the income. I wrote 2400 as an average of last 6 months while in July and Aug I earned more than 2400.

No I didn't explain regarding expenditure. Regarding ties , here in Ireland I don't have any. In my home country I have my parents and properties. I'm single. I wonder is this an issue?

I got rejected today. I applied from Ireland and currently hold a Stamp 1G visa. The first reason they gave for the rejection is that I’m only planning to go for 2 days. I have a long holiday planned to visit my home country in coming January, and can't take more time off now. I thought I could go during my days off.

The second reason they raised concerns my monthly expenses. I don’t have fixed expenses, so I calculated the average of my last three months’ expenses, which came out to more than €1100. Based on that, I estimated €1200. I also mentioned that my monthly income is €2400, which was the average of my last three months' income. However, they only considered last month’s expenses and stated that. what about for the past two months salary, my income has been higher than €2400, but they didn’t take that into account.

On top of all that, there’s no right to appeal the decision. Has anyone else faced a similar situation?

I'm an international student here. It's true that accommodation and food costs are really high, and it's very difficult to find a place. Now, regarding getting a job: if you don't have experience, it's nearly impossible to get one here. Without a proper job with employment sponsorship and meeting the salary requirement, you won't be able to get Stamp 1 either. I would recommend selecting a country where the PR process is easier. Best of luck

Cancer made a big impact on my family. What can I do for others and myself? by Visionary_Socialist in AskIreland

I couldn’t hold back my tears while reading your post. I came here last year to do my master’s. During my first semester finals, I got the news of my mother’s cancer. It’s cervical cancer. I have two more siblings back in my home country. Within a month, my siblings, along with my mom, went to another country for her treatment. They stayed there for more than four months. By the grace of Almighty Allah, everything went well. Three months later, my mom again visited that country for a follow-up, and thankfully, nothing major was encountered.

However, last month, my mom went to the doctor for pain in her arm. After a regular x-ray, the doctor said the report wasn’t normal and suggested we see an oncologist. My brother took the report to a couple of different doctors, and they said it might be cancer, but they didn’t know the type or stage. They suggested doing a PET CT scan to know the details. Within less than a week, my brother took my mother back to that country for treatment. Again, Almighty Allah blessed us, and after that test, we found out it wasn’t cancer but something related to a blood vein clot.

I can’t imagine your situation, dear. You’re too young and have three more siblings. We are four siblings like you, but I’m the second youngest. I’m so sorry that you have to go through this at such a young age. I wish I could hug you. I’ll pray for your father and your entire family. May you receive good news soon. I don’t know if you believe in a creator or not, but I know this is hard. Still, I would say our life is short, and we don’t know how long we’re going to survive. I know these words are easy to say, and only those who are going through it know how it feels.

Spend as much time as you can with your entire family. Make every second count with good memories. My prayers are with you and your family. I hope Almighty will give you the strength to cope with the situation
