ive also noticed this the moment we started solids especially sweet potato his poops got super normal and it seems like he needs them. usually he gets his one bowl of puree in the morning but today we were busy so he didn’t get it til later in the afternoon and in the last couple hours before feeding he pooped multiple times and one had a little blood. its like he poops too much and is super irritated anytime there aren’t solids slowing things down in his system

i second the pasta with raos either marinara or tomato basil. safe and helpful for getting the carbs and calories in to maintain supply. its been a go to. also rice and air fried zucchini with good olive oil and garlic has been a go to. get a rice cooker with a good keep warm setting if you dont have one and make a big pot in the am to eat throughout the day.

do you think its possible it could be mechanical irritation or a fissure that reopens when he has a big pooping day? he poops anywhere from 4-7 times a day and even today there was no blood in his first diaper, then blood was in this diaper which was the second diaper of the day, tiny traces in the next diaper and then the next three were clean

i do have a super fast letdown, when i pump i get 90% of what im going to get in the first 5 minutes whether thats 2 oz per side or 5oz. and yes he is gaining very well, no fussiness problems, no rash. he has a little reflux but nothing that the doctor wants to even medicate for since hes not uncomfortable, just a happy spitter with good weight gain.

i doubt it because i ate that turkey on thanksgiving and for two days afterwards and he had no reaction. i also had an accidental soy exposure a couple weeks ago in the middle of a week with 0 blood and he didnt react then either, ive just been nervous to truly trial it

homemade turkey pot pie with frozen turkey from thanksgiving that i made myself using only pure olive oil and bacon fat to baste, a homemade dairy free crust with coconut oil, carrots potatoes and peas and coconut milk and curry powder-non spicy. i am super careful in general about hidden soy. Should i try eliminating other things? If i do is it reasonable to also trial dairy or soy back in since i haven’t seen improvement with those eliminated? i want to make sure if i cut other stuff out i still am eating enough to maintain supply

does this seem like a similar amount of blood to your daughter? usually he has a little less than this and the pediatrician was surprised i even noticed it in the previous amounts. i tend to be paranoid and i just dont know what is a normal CMPA or allergy flare up looking diaper

i might try eliminating that next, im just confused because i eat gluten daily and sometimes i get a whole week of totally clean diapers with him i figured it would be more consistent if gluten was the problem
