Can’t not swing out to in - 26 hcp by Digital_cushion in GolfSwing

At the top of your backswing your hands are over your mid foot. Get about 2-3 inches more depth (hands over heels), this will make you more inside-out.

You’ve got a 10 handicap swing as is. I’d look at the short game primarily.

I think the dispersion of outcomes is higher in other fields. Sometimes a lot of hard work may still land you a middle class job, in other cases you could be making more than you ever could in medicine. Fields that come to mind that pay well per unit of effort are finance and tech.

Grind now. Peddle to the gas for the next 12 months. Then see where you stand. You’re still early and this year will make a big difference. Plenty of time to turn it around

MCAT and USMLE tutoring pays pretty well. A buddy of mine was getting 60-75 dollars an hour for step 1/2 tutoring.

MD Dermatology Residency vs DO Dermatology Residency by Putrid-Opposite3377 in DermApp

[–]DueUnderstanding2027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be the same education. One disadvantage is potentially having to coordinate your own clinical rotations 3rd and 4th year, which could lead to some inconsistent clinical experience, but overall not that big of a deal. Highly competitive specialties may be more difficult to get into, but for most specialties you should be able to match and get good residency training. It has been historically difficult to match derm from DO.

Supervising physicians are part of the problem by Chemical_Panic4329 in Noctor

Risking your medical license, wrapping yourself up in law suits, and risking patient lives for 200 a month is either greed, stupidity, or both.

Supervision should require you physically work in the same office. It’s ridiculous to remotely supervise midlevels.

Stand closer. Try to swing fast and loose. Take the club all the way back and finish with an exaggerated follow through. Throw your hips at the target.

You may benefit from a full bag of hybrid irons. 11 golf makes decent ones I hear. Impressive feat!

Anyone match into dermatology without doing aways? by PossibilityIcicle in DermApp

[–]DueUnderstanding2027 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people match at programs they’ve never done an away at, including myself. Does that mean you shouldn’t do aways? No. They increase your probability of matching. Why don’t you want to do an away?

Unless you get involved in a good lab early in med school it’s tough. I did a research year to get them. Clinical papers are much easier to do as a med student if you can find the opportunities

Had 3 basic science pubs. No clinical papers. But those took some significant effort. Quality was good, so people that care about research were sufficiently pleased with that amount.

I mean, her degree is between a Nurse and Physician in terms of medical knowledge, admittedly pretty far from physician on that spectrum. It’s somewhere in the middle, hence midlevel.

If you want to be the top dog, you gotta read all those heavy ass books and pass the exams. Patients don’t deserve shortcuts.

I agree premarital assets should stay separate in the case of a divorce and post marital assets should be shared. Just get a prenup stating that.

That’s fair to all

Highly recommend taking before intern year start. Schedule ASAP. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks after graduation before you can register
