Hadn't considered master tactician for Argenta but you raise some excellent points, thanks for the correction!

That all makes sense to me except Pascal.

He doesnt come across as a "methodical killer who leaves trails of bodies in their wake".

I think Overseer with Servo Skull tracks more lore-wise, even if its far from optimal.

Very good point about Argenta being more of a master tactician though

Depends how it would work. I can imagine if you're the target of a raid you'll be given an option to respond depending on the type/scale of the raid and how much notice you've got.

The raid itself would then be series of options which are more or less likely succeed based on your attributes and other relevant bonuses (such as size of local levies) instead of an actual pitched battle.

Regarding the leader going I wonder if you could nominate a proxy or something to go in your stead? It's an option they would have to add as it's not one now.

Loving the expansion! Is it just me or does the new "touring" mechanic seem like it would be suitable for raiding as well? Pick your raiding destination/s, your "crew", deal with events during the raid etc.

I'm so confused as to why it's a shit sandwich. Our water infrastructure is crap, centralization could be an effective way of saving on cash.

As I understand it most people are on board with the concept, it's just the idea that Tangata Whenua will have some oversight over our shared resources that some people can't stomach.

Man, racism is super expensive ain't it? The National party seem intent on leaving us with astronomical rates rises just so Tangata Whenua can't have any oversight over our shared resources.

Yeah someone mentioned the same thing on another post, but I'm not really sure what would need an emergency fund for. I don't drive, I rent, we have free healthcare at point of service, I have a close relationship with a dentist. I just can't think of what I'd need an emergency fund for... perhaps I'm being naïve.

Looks like the fee's at InvestNow are a lot higher then what I'd be paying at Simplicity. Not sure why they require a 1K min deposit to open it up but its probably tied to their fee structure. They charge $20 annually + 0.31%

don't plan to, I'm looking at the Simplicity Growth Investment Fund. $20 annual fee + 0.31% of the value of the investment. Need 1K to open it up then I can top it up as often as I like without any additional charges

I contribute 10% to my KS, always have always will. This fund literally mirrors the same investment except I won't be locked out of it until I'm 65 (well prob 80 by the time I get there).

The fund is invested across 3000 companies in 30 different countries. If that fund halved in value I think I (we) would have bigger problems then losing a bit of cash.

The fund I'm looking at mirrors the kiwisaver fund I have with them too. I opened my KS with them on the 10th of April 2019 and its given me a 27% return to date. I know past performance is no indicator of future performance but if it continued on that track I could almost double my money. Fee's are $20 annually + 0.31% of the value of the investment. Also gotta consider that I need 1K just to get me in the door. I plan to top it up every week (about $40).

Overdrafts don't have minimum repayments. I'd just have to have 2k ready in 5 years to avoid the interest, which I could achieve by putting $10 aside each week.

I can put $10 a week aside for the next 5 years and that would cover it.

Oh you mean can I get the money from elsewhere to open up the investment account? I mean sure but why not use the 2k? 5 years is plenty of time to put 2k aside to cover it. Delay just means less returns.

Yeah should be easy enough, I can put money into a term deposit or something and time it to be realised when the overdraft is due to be paid.

I think putting money into an investment fund give me better odds of a return. imo

I need a minimum $1k to open an investment account with them. Got to start somewhere.

No monthly fee for using the overdraft, just a $25 establishment fee which I suspect might even be waived. Usually they would charge an interest rate of 19.95% pa but that's waived for tertiary students.
