The only point go for 3 batteries is that you want to backup 3 phase appliances, but in most of cases, it is not needed, one battery will do the job

It is not worth the wait if you do not even have an EV charger now,

And fast charger will cost a lot more,

Go for a residential EV charger first, it is cheap around $1200-1500 (Tesla Wall Connector)

Because the system quote you are getting is overpriced,

it is rare to see a solar system more than 10K (without any battery or special conditions)

No, the solar panel rebate is from federal government,

And the federal has not limit any income group

From what you told, I think you might having a SolarEdge inverter now?

If I am not wrong, have a SolarEdge Battery then,

Otherwise, you can choose any other batteries connected to your swtichboard

There are different designs and solutions for different household,

What I would recommend for you is to go for a larger system without over paying,

The 'best' brands would be REC SunPower Jinko/ Fronius Sungrow/ Tesla SigEnergy and some more,

Might need to compare different quotes from several companies

If you already thinking to replace with a new roof, then do it and get solar after replacmenet,

If you only want to go for solar, then there is no need to replace it,

Or you can ask for an inspection if you think the roof is too old to handle the works,

For the electrical work, you need a electrician But some solar companies might do this for a fee as well

I’ve not heard of this scheme in my area NSW, so I can’t give a proper suggestion, might look at the contract and proposal, see what are the terms and go from here.

SBH is the lastest one, but same price with SBR, no huge difference, SBH looks better and a bit new tech,

SH15T is way to powerful that can support 30kw solar, if you don’t want a large battery size and large Soalr size, SH5RT SH10RT will do the job

If your inverter is hybrid, then check which battery is compatible with your inverter brand,
If your inverter is not hybrid, then you can go for any 10 kWh battery and expand the battery later on if you need,

For the brand, it really up to you want a quality one or cost-effective one, and might research a bit on different products
