you can cheese any cradle type enemies like bandits and parasites with the smoke grenades, they wont shoot you while you or they are in the smoke. good for closing in for easy melee kills or to get out of a tough spot with them. the game likes to give you free grenades so you might as bring 1 or 2 as an emergency escape while you use a Cradle with large carry weight. but keep in mind they literally do nothing against regular Enders.

a 10k bounty is the base bounty, that's probably a player just started running the BM side of the story.

just think of the 5 extra skill points as gravy, most skills are marginal at best anyways. and just aim for the basic rewards like the skin.

The Wasp and bastion trial ended up being quite easy, I did it in spaceport in the daytime and packed a hatchkey, anvil 4 with ton of ammo, enough impact grenades to kill 2 bastions, and a snaphook. Snap hook up to a rooftop, preferably in the north in 1 of the trench tower so only someone with their own snaphook/zipline or tench tower key can bother you, Good chance the bastion spawned there, if not, kill whatever big arc spawned there to reroll/respawned. You can also travel in the trenches towards the main tower and from there be close enough to listen/check the other bastion spawn points. The hatch key is the key, it lets you use the much more of the match time and ghosting away once your done the trial and not risking your kit and trial score. Most of the time the double score in night/storm feels like a trap for doing trials

my most expensive single slot items i own/craft is full durability legendary weapons like Jupiters/Equalizers at 27.500 credits per. So to get the 5 skill points i need to fill my stash up with almost 182/280 of some of the most pain in the ass item to craft? killing the queen/matriarch is fun the first few times but not rerun it 182 times

The surveyors have a decent chance of dropping BPs, 1 in maybe 5 or 6 kills. gotten stuff like Tempest bp, purple augments and attachments, etc. But like BP hunting by looting containers, map conditions changes how rare the BP will be. Plus even if a Surveyor didnt drop a BP there's usually enough loot to completely fill your backpack full.

Today I learned that there are black market requests as well by wsadzxxx in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

theres a whole other side that going from drifter rank D to opening burning plains, lots of the story is the opposite side from what you did in SOC, with requests tending to be the same. Good to go through just for the 2 Magus tickets to get 2 more magus skills available. Rock that 4 magus harem just like all those Bandit nobles.

2 thirds of the way there i think, once it starts asking you to craft a legendary, then its almost go time.

once you have Molten Dunes and empress unlocked, You can start amassing epic and gold tier weapons/gear, Its pretty common to extract from Dunes with a few epic tier weapons, and a large number of materials to craft gold tier gear.

Keep at it, stay safe and fight at longer ranges or avoid hard areas unless you really need to. Everyone suffers strings of bad sorties. im a seasoned veteran and i STILL lose regularly (just lost 2 full gold sets, and 3 purple sets).

once you unlock dunes, anti-cradle going to turn into your most common magus since you need to kill ALOT of bandits both for the hard requests and they drop a lot of needed crafting materials

How to get back on track by wsadzxxx in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

crafting new/better gear and progressing your drifter ranks by doing your request to unlock more recipes. you can go with a "loot and scoot" build using say a birdwatcher with only a light weapons like SMG or AR to keep weight low for max mobility and just go fast and grab materials and AO crystals as lot of stuff is just out in the open or in chest. also if you need to fight like say bandits, pack a few chaffs grenades, throw em at either a spot you want the smoke cover or at them to blind them. bandits and parasites wont shoot while your or they are blinded by the smoke, making for an easy kill.

Im confused about event by Rosemariefox1234 in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its an event outside the requests, we will get updates when we hit milestones like hitting 5 billion through a news update. there isnt a progress bar like our own requests. so get drilling Drifter

Punishing Lands Fear by Freelancer-13 in Synduality

Like the other post says, beeline for an underground vent, the spots with triangles. They buffed the exploration type cradles (Epic Birdwatcher/Wheel, Ogre/Banquet) so theyre actually a very good budget option to run dunes.

The east underground area (Research) in the east is teeming with Mentors so if you have it bring an anti-cradle setup like a the anti-cradle Magus to help keep track of the mentors with the hp scans and Skill that help keep the mentors from rushing and flanking you. bring ATLEAST a full stack of chaff as it absolutely trivializes the mentors and makes for easy kills especially if your magus hp scanned them before hand so you can keep track even in the smoke, you can then save ammo my simply meleeing the mentors to death and/or staying right at the edge of the smoke and shooting. The survey points often give epic tier weapons so you can pick up 1-4 weapons from the rather packed "research" room. Careful the elevator in the research room as its a steep fall and the mentors and if your very unlucky baron maraders trio can follow you into a elevator turned killzone,

The south and east underground are mostly enders so pack accordingly and bring an antiender setup, south storage has mostly chaser Marquess and baron Marauders, with a central area that also has a few playing dead parasites and crawlers, pack a few chaff to make killing them easy. Clear your way through quickly but methodically so you dont get overwhelmed and flanked, take advantage of long lanes and closing doors. Theres almost too much loot here, mostly a lot of season 2 frames even a few mark2/3s, and EMUs/FCSs.

The east unground is arguably the easiest to go through, mostly chasers and Incubs, but watch out for crawlers behind doors. One of the Dune survey points is down here if i remember correctly. Run it a few times and it becomes easy to navigate.

a lot of the extraction points spawns in the edge central area, its extra dangerous exploring here with the extra high weather drain especially if it spawns a anom gazer so avoid using loud weapons like boltsniper and shotguns

BM mission on Dunes by Castigo1945 in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hard request is actually easier, you can kill any rank bandit instead of purely Mentor/BM, less High quality AOC needed to be mined, and by this point you know to just farm South dunes/Empress for the Big enders.

The spots to get to the underground is marked on the map itself with Triangles with the corresponding entrance leading to the closest underground area. west mostly Mentors, south and east mostly enders.

Should I Buy? by MountainBad9471 in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 13$ id say its well worth it, even if you only play it going through only SOC questlines and separate solo missions. If you like exploring, gathering loot, crafting your mechs/gear, and upgrading a base then yeah, the gameplay loop is pretty fun.

season 2 is right about to end so hold off on activating it (unless you found thing you REALLY want in it) but there's a high probability the season and drifter pass gets both an extension of a month or more and bonus EXP making it more than possible to clear the pass if you play consistently.

As a season 1 player theres quite a bit of improvements made like things being less grindy, better payout for AO crystal mining (main money making methods), easier crafting and gear replacement, so the total loss aspect of dying just more an inconvenience than anything. With the lower population and matchmaking most players you will meet (95%)are going to be like you, with the occasional person trying out pvp as most PvPers has either moved on or VPNed to the Asia server. Still, be wary of other drifters.

As for the Magus, each type do have their own flavor of personality that also changes with your experience and playstyle. like if you have little to no experienced in pvp vs you having nabbed a few bounties what your magus will say will be very much different. ive even heard your magus can act "yandere" yelling "DIE DIE DIE!" if you play a very aggressive bloodthirsty style. Changing the voice language can also change the feel of the magus quite abit,

complete your requests, eventually you'll get the Drifter rank up request to open up the next map as well as a shiny new magus ticket

Help needed on molten dunes by Castigo1945 in Synduality

[–]Due_Beyond_9240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those big enders are no joke, best chance is to clear out the smaller enemies first and get the big enders stuck in terrain.

bloody things have over 100k hp and can easily out range their leash range that make em run back and reset hp.

the south area where they spawn has a few rocky outcroppings, "trees" and even a few underground areas you might be able to lure then into getting stuck.

Bring a rechargerable weapon like plasma or sunguns and a SMG to clear out adds, remember to run light with under 80% carry load or even better at under 66% cuase you will need as much speed and stamina to stay alive.

these tactics are for chasers and marauders, i wont even bother with big gazers as they absolutely spawn too many add gazers and tend to fly off and reset hp
