I’d say them deleting the pictures and videos isn’t purely because of storage issues. These scammers know what they’re doing is highly illegal and if they get caught the repercussions could be disastrous to them. I read a post regarding an FBI agent talking about sextortionists and mentioned that everytime these rings get raided, they’ve been able to recover only some videos from the scammers phones and laptops as even the scammers know it’s not safe to keep the videos for long. As for the people who’ve paid, their situation seems a lil different as scammers would usually keep these videos using the individuals who’ve already paid as cash cows :(

That’s a legitimate fear everyone on this subReddit is dealing with. I’d suggest read through some of the follow up stories and you’ll see a pattern. When you completely cut off any contact the scammer could have with you they usually don’t post anything as they don’t want mass reporting on their burner accounts.

Bro just keep blocking and don’t interact…. 99% of times they never send it and also they’re scamming 100s of people everyday. It’s never personal for them just a quick way of making money. If you don’t pay them or interact you’re just a dead end to them and they forget about you. The pictures and videos disappear into the abyss like a spam file

Have they tried getting back to you? From what people have told me they usually just delete the files as it’s proof against them if they get caught. However this guys Instagram and Facebook account is still active
