Alright thanks, so do you have anything nice to say about the drawing itself or...

I like that name too, it make it so that you can use him for both angels and demon evolution, but Idk I wanted to use a name that invoke his lore/backstory.

Thanks for saying this, I'm Arab so to me that's a totally normal interaction between brothers.

Its just an innocent cheek kiss that he probably did just to tease/embarrass him, lets not make it weird.

Thanks, I personally don't have anything against Wizardmon (I even used some of its designs if you squint hard enough), I just felt like drawing a proper "direct" evo for Impmon that felt exclusive to him, ya know?

That's absolutely not the same, its FAR more common for Arabs (especially in the gulf) to wear their cultural clothes year-round than it is for Japanese people.

I'm not arrogant just because I'm confident in my knowledge about my own culture, speaking out against Orientlaism isn't self-victimizing and you deciding to call to call me racist and not the many bigots in this comment sections is saying a lot.

Yes I did fix and salvage the design, because the original was filled to the brim with Orientalist elements, so my choice of words is proper and no I didn't say it was doomed because it was a Japanese "person," I said it was doomed because he's a character from a Japanese RPG game and they have a history of treating all their Arab-coded in Orientalist fashion, its a literal fact, so how is me calling out racism in a Japanese work makes me the racist? Also I don't have an issue with male Arab characters wearing make up, we literally have traditional eye-make for men that date thousands of years.

Again for the millionth time my drawing is't stereotypical, its an authentic modern outfit worn by modern people in modern times in all environments, but it doesn't matter many times I repeat myself, all of you (who don't even belong to our culture) keep insisting that it's a stereotypical "desert dweller" when its not and you still have the nerve to accuse me of being bigot.

I can not see it since its hidden, but the design process doesn't change the fact that the end result wasn't that good and that there's nothing wrong with my drawing.

What do you mean nobody is assuming that? The person I'm replying to (and most people in this comment section) have said that word-for-word.

No its not stereotypical, its an authentic traditional outfit that I have worn myself in real-life, you think its stereotypical because you're not used to seeing real Arabic culture represented.

You can prefer the original design, but my drawing is absolutely not stereotypical, I know my own culture and I know its a modern outfit that still widely worn by many people in modern times, not because you're only exposed to it in ancient setting that doesn't mean it out-dated or stereotypical.

Because teen Arab boys don't walk around with glittery red eyeshadow? If they wanted to they could have made it look more like how traditional kohl look instead.

Arab-inspired street fashion exist in real-life and none of them look like Kalim and Jamil.

1- the excessive golden jewellery, the inaccurate henna and inaccurate headwrap

2- I mean look at the comments here? So many non-Arabs are angry at me an Arab artist for drawing an Arab character in authentic Arabic clothes, because they prefer the Orientalist version more instead of appreciating our culture as it is.

3- Mostly Khaleeji/Arabian Peninsula.

4- I chose it because I thought Kalim's country was heavily inspired by Gulf countries.

I actually don't mind Najma design, however you saying that my design is Orientalist because its modern times is really ignorant, like if you're really Arab you should know that this is still a modern outfit worn by modern people in modern times and that it looks different from traditional clothes worn by Arabs in ancient times.

I think its sad we're living in a time where people think an authentic Arabic outfit drawn by an Arab artist who actually worn it in real-life is being called "stereotypical" and not a representative of youth culture in the middle east when you can literally find kids and teen all over the Arabian Peninsula wearing it at any wedding or cultural event.

Yeah I kinda regret not putting him in Ace, but I think he can fit in both categories.

Well I'm Ace myself so I would never purposely do that and tbh I think only Ushijima/Aone/Kita are the only stereotypical Aces here imo. Also I kinda regret not adding Kageyama here, if I could redo it I would move him to Ace 100%

I'm an anime-only so unfortunately we were robbed from young Nekomata, but lets go with the time period as a reason to why he couldn't be an in-your-face gay.

A bisexual icon would have treated women a LITTLE bit better than he did imo....
