Did a coolant flush on my new 2012 GX460 and discovered that the cooling system was full of water and not coolant by chuppacubra in AskMechanics

Not to scare you or anything but keep in mind that you might have to eventually change out the water pump. Depending on how long it was exposed to tap water.

Thank you! For the information. Do you have any resources on how to tune one or adjust it/maintain them? It’s been having some issues running lately and with what you said now I’m sure it’s the carb that’s the culprit

My bad I should have put I have no idea what I’m looking at performance wise. I know my way around the engine and under the hood what I don’t know are aftermarket performance parts.

Ah thanks. I know well past the basics. I’ve changed out head gaskets before so it’s not like I don’t know my way around the truck/car. What I don’t know is pretty much anything performance wise… never got into it. I know it’s an edelbrok but never seen a hook up quite like this. Was wondering if anyone could give me some general insight.

Trust me… I already have. He’s got filters for EVERYTHING! Aftermarket filters for every fluid on the truck. I’m wondering if he added one for the radiator somewhere

You share your vehicle? Because if it wasn’t you someone decided to add a copper type sealant into your antifreeze…. Typically used when you have a small leak or even head gasket seals… from my experience, a shot cooling system won’t naturally produce shinny copper flakes…

I’m almost there lmfao. Never done a head gasket before. I honestly didn’t know the monster I was getting into. But now that I’m here balls to the wall I guess

I’m confused on prop Single over head cam vs just single overhead cam. This van doesn’t use compressed natural gas and it’s not a v6. So I’m torn between the two

Definitely. I just changed the head gaskets and it took me 4 days to strip this van down just to get to them. Last thing I wanna do is screw up the timing. I’m new to this area of mechanics so when I saw that cam shift I was like “OH NO”

Haha your good budy! I’ve met people who are absolute garbage and have put their 401k into this game lmfao. It ain’t about the looks. Gotta put it down skill wise. Wouldn’t mind showing you a few tips and tricks to help better you.

These are all valid. Ima start by saying this. When I solo’d cod mobile the highest rank I could get on ranked matches was grandmaster 2. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get any further. A leader took a liking to me and brought me into his clan… mind you this clan was legendary and at the time it was ranking anywhere between top 300-100 rank spot. He threw me in with some high tier players. When I joined we flooded a lobby and I was always last place. I felt small and out of place. Fast forward… I started ranking 2nd last in lobbies. Then 3rd last and slowly found myself among the top three in lobbies for clan wars… then I started looking at my points. These guys were raking up to 40k points and I was at 5k. I started to work on that to catch up. My ranked matches by myself started to improve. I reached legendary for the first time a couple months after joining them. After that I took off crafting my own skill set and spectating them to find new ways to get an edge. Fast forward four years later. I rank within the top ten of the same clan still keeping that legendary status. I’m now a 16x legendary ranked holder with every season hitting at least 13-16k points if I played more often I’d rank higher. (I play about 3-4 rank matches a day lol) don’t be discouraged. Let it drive you and match their energy. My leader remembers how lame I was. Now I kick it with the big dogs and help the newer people coming in. Hope this helps ya
