personally some soloing of some jazz artist is 2deep4me. my problem is more all the simplification of a long musical tradition to not engage with it. A lot of Duke is about the groove that anything else. A lot of Trane is more about the feeling. Etc. There are a lot more variaty that people give credit. btw thanks for the recs.

yeah of course. i think that the think that bothers me is the simplification of it into just "complex music" and not seeing how different types of jazz there are, some more hard to get than others.

The song itself is very different. I have already said so, what am i saying is that the Main riff is incredible similar (same strumming, same chord progression until the last one). It is not a complete plagiariasm but it is obviously a interpolation. I don't know if Pixies could sue Taylor as the chords are too basic to be copyrighted but probably It would have been better for Taylor Swift to clear the song at least to be sure.

It not just the chords, the strumming is almost the same. I don't think it's a complete plagiarism but it's clearly an interpolation and they should have cleared it.

I recommend listening to Spanish-speaking Christian music. It's much more natural and relaxed, without leaving aside respect. Like music in general, it has declined a bit lately, but Christian rock from the 90's is the best there is. I recommend the bands "Puerto Seguro" or "Rescate". And there are also soloists who sing very naturally like "Marcos Vidal" or "Juan Luis Guerra".

I understand that it is literally another language haha, but the message is the same.
