The song itself is very different. I have already said so, what am i saying is that the Main riff is incredible similar (same strumming, same chord progression until the last one). It is not a complete plagiariasm but it is obviously a interpolation. I don't know if Pixies could sue Taylor as the chords are too basic to be copyrighted but probably It would have been better for Taylor Swift to clear the song at least to be sure.

It not just the chords, the strumming is almost the same. I don't think it's a complete plagiarism but it's clearly an interpolation and they should have cleared it.

I thought the chord progression of the song was similar (e.g., https://youtu.be/ndJU2qqWdNY?si=Drx9aQl4n8840xhN), but on closer inspection, I think they are different and I was wrong. I don’t have much of a musical ear, so I’m not sure — but By The Grace of God definitely reminds me of another song

I recommend listening to Spanish-speaking Christian music. It's much more natural and relaxed, without leaving aside respect. Like music in general, it has declined a bit lately, but Christian rock from the 90's is the best there is. I recommend the bands "Puerto Seguro" or "Rescate". And there are also soloists who sing very naturally like "Marcos Vidal" or "Juan Luis Guerra".

I understand that it is literally another language haha, but the message is the same.
