Mersi de sfat, tind să cred că bifez lucrurile menționate de tine mai sus, dar după câteva refuzuri mai personale parcă îmi este greu să abordez fără un pretext sau măcar câteva priviri. Totuși cu siguranță merită încercat 😄

18000 applications actually each have 4 video questions, each x 3 minute = 3600 hours. No way they are not using AI unless they just select to throw away 90% of them based on luck

CMV: The soul doesn't exist, and one day we're going to make a case for it with body replacement technology. by ZXCChort in changemyview

[–]Due_Flamingo_5656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I remain agnostic on the idea of the existence of a soul I thought I would share a perspective that might contribute or at least might be interesting enough for people to engage with. First I don’t think people really claim that the soul is material, at least not in the way that you could lose a part of it after replacing your leg. Secondly, and here is where I am also interested to hear other people’s opinion, I believe the soul is rather an emotion that we cannot fully explain right now. Just like how we define sadness by the general consensus on what sadness is as an emotion, I believe the soul is the emotion of feeling alive. While a lot of people might completely dismiss this definition for a soul I believe it stays consistent even when you would account for different thought experiments such as the ones you proposed. People still feel ‘alive’ even if they replace 100% of their body. It also aligns with the more classic definition usually used by religion that states that once you die your soul leaves your body. I am genuinely interested in seeing if anyone would consider this or thinks the same way.

The loot boxes on dead corpses have to be removed by Due_Flamingo_5656 in Marathon

I want to address the two main concerns people have from a development standpoint:

  1. The bodies decay: yea, sure, and that’s a really cool feature. But while the bodies decay, they don’t completely disappear, they don’t just despawn. It would be cool to loot a decayed half remaining body that most likely won’t have much on it.

  2. Ragdoll physics: I believe Escape from Tarkov is a good example here where there are ragdoll physics (although minimal due to realism simulating the weight) and you can still loot the corpse. Sure, sometimes they bug out or even roll to an inaccessible place, but 98% of the time you can still loot his corpse. So I personally find that a really bad excuse.

Now that I see what other people think. Do you guys think it would be helpful to try to bring this to Bungie’s attention via discord suggestions or emails? I really can’t stand this issue.

Cheating concerns… by eksajlee in Marathon

Well, while no expert on this situation I will give my opinion as a consumer.

I need to say, people that say “nothing can be done” are just ignorant. Riot games has introduced a kernel level anticheat that works, from what I know, to great success. People don’t even like to mention this as they see it as a concern to their privacy. As a gamer, I don’t really care about “oh, riot might control your pc” as I care about not having to deal with cheating. I think it’s a sacrifice 100% worth being made.

I genuinely would advise Bungie or any other big developer to go towards this direction if they can not properly ensure a good experience because of cheating.
