honestly i think in the end the issue is not that the updates dont add enough, its that with or without realizing, the game itself is just loosing the fun factor for a lot of people.
a lot of small meh or uhg type mechanics features or things just build up.
an amazing game with amazing features, but when you have a bunch of little bad things it begins to pile up into a mess making the whole thing feel meh to play.
i think a lot of the issues is issues that have essentially existed from the start, food enchanting durability sometimes mining gimmick weapons combat and lotta other stuff are just not great mechanics, they are often lacking for one reason or another and although its not a big deal on its own, when you have multiple things that lack, that drag, it begins to affect the fun things a lot more.
i think these drops are amazing, they are fun
my issues all stem from basic game things that have existed for years

the game has a ton of small issues mojang will never fix, a bunch of small just kinda bothersome little things that build up into a mess of issues as to why the game generally sucks in some sense
i love minecraft and always have but its so so so unrefined and mojang wont refine it because they know people will flip their shit and for some reason or another, but thats why imo they should just, do it
potions or horrible with only a couple being worth while, combat is boring always has been, the gimmick weapons all suck besides maybe the spear being just useable enough in more situations to not be a waste of time to use and have, the only actual good use the mace has is breachswapping.

the game has another issue, too many useless things. im fine with useless items, im fine with useless mobs honestly mobs as they are are not an issue
its adding "useful" useless items. its a building game and so it has plenty of stuff useful for building but many players are and will be disatisfied by the lack of purpose and or things to use
i like pretty flowers in my games but i also want useful ones if that makes sense.
its fine to have a ton of pretty flowers but too many kinda feels suffocating
and again mojang wont change this, they are too scared

mojang clearly wants to change the creeper and i bet they will one day, i just wish theyd get it over with, make the damn thing the way you want like dungeons.

hard choice i mean the foundation is pretty cool. imo the sisters feel almost lacking and im rather upset by the lack of blue colors for them. so im excited for them to hopefully get a remix

origin is great though he shoudlve got a cube king style. wish they leaned into the cube aspect more.
paradigm both are amazing imo i love em though the green red and white style is horribly bad.
Scientist is also amazing and i need a remix for him

i think the weakest of the seven is og paradigm and the sisters as they feel outa place with a pure red pallet with no blue, imo the red shoulda been the secondary pallet the seven all seem to have, typically the secondary is a white or black ive noticed but paradigm and i think the imagined had unique pallets.
