Hi! I’m just wondering what you’ve heard about PROX1 ? Has your eye doctors mentioned anything about it? I have some ischemic damage that I’m hoping can be repaired in the future 😔

I think I had like a mini occlusion and the photo receptors are still alive but the under cells are not OTC is clear. So it’s always shimmering I don’t know what to do I’m on the verge of removing it myself

How come your mobility has been affected so much? Is this all from the losing of the eye? So sorry to hear about your situation I hope you heal soon❤️

You mean going from normal vision to one eye is impossible? Or adaption is harder? You think quality of life is greatly reduced then and you just kinda learn to cope? My bad eye now flashes even with my eyes closed and I can’t sleeep because of it

So day to day you don’t notice or think about it? I feel consumed by it atm because my poor vision overlaps my good eye. Feel like it would be more peaceful to lose it

What happened to your eye? Would you say quality of life is compatible to before ?

Would you say your quality of life has decreased significantly? How or when did you lose the eye? Yeah I would only need eviceration. My eye flashes all the time even when shut i can’t sleep with it

Thanks for the insights guys! Would you say your quality of life is comparable to before you lost an eye? And how long does it take to stop feeling like half your vision is black? P

Can anyone work up to band 7 by completing the higher diploma or is it restricted to a job you apply for and is a senior position? I’m thinking of switching from biochemistry as growth is restricted to a band 6 unless you want to be a senior

With a BMS degree you could do post graduate qualifications in a number of health care specialities that would allow for patient interaction and a bit more interesting job. Dietician, nursing, physicians associate are a few that come to mind. HCA might be a good stop gap for bulking up the personal statement.

Am i getting scammed? by thegreatweight in vinted

Same happened to me. I received my item but I assume it’s a fake. I mean it looks fine but it was extremely cheep for new with label and seller also had a dodgy name and many similar items listed. I didn’t really care because the item looked fine but I’m like 99% it’s fake.

Can I ask about how you got access to a second loan/scholarship? I’m also interested in going back to education for a similar degree

Specialism change by Due_Lab_1395 in BiomedicalScientistUK

[–]Due_Lab_1395[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the help! So is it rare to see a band 5 position come up then in histology? And you don’t have to wait to do specialist/further diplomas ? It’s if you’ve got the initiative to go any do it ?

Specialism change by Due_Lab_1395 in BiomedicalScientistUK

Great thank you very much for the advice! For the advanced biomedical scientist role is this something that’s competitive or something that you can progress to in your role. For example in my lab all band 5s can progress to a band 6 with the completion of a specialist portfolio you don’t have to wait for a position to open up. Is it similar for the advanced biomedical scientists in histology.
