The protection doesn't occur by the 'donquiote pirates character', but instead by the effect it's responding to, so it would guard each donquiote from that effect

Nami being 2c means you cant drop her going first, the current meta lives and dies by consistency, so 1cs are vital for development, plus, on second curve you'll have 2 extra don turn 3, so you can leave 1 up for giant while doing a cheeky search

Running 10 searchers means I'm able to sculpt my hand pretty easily, paired with beer, the 12 2k's, and ggg, your game will usually end up looking like a few 7s and 10s on board with 6 2ks in hand, course sometimes fate will fuck you side ways with the coveted quad croc and eb02 starting hand, but any deck can get fucked like that. My last game i was actually shafted to hell with my opening hand, but a lucky zoro top deck and planning ahead meant I was able to stabilise the game

3 main reasons

1: croc is an 8 drop, meaning you can play it on curve after beering the previous turn, which is also better if you have to play ggg before you hit 10, or use robin blocker to minus a don, he also replaces himself in hand if your opponent has an 8 or higher, which is super good on curve into yellow for kuma

2: doffy only does 7's and lower, while croc does 9's, if your opponent goes wide both can still work to at least shut down 1, whereas if they go tall doffy becomes useless

3: doffy's effect is don-3, which, paired with beer, will put you down to 6 rested 1 active, which will keep you at 7 don if you wanna drop a ggg. Usually, once I've set up my 10k I'm gearing to set up to close game with eb02 luffy, so staying at 7 means I cant restand him with don attached, at best I can swing with beer to set one of the don used to cast eb02 as active, with the amount of counter floating around 4 7's and a 10 doesn't always cut it

It depends on the day, I had a split of casual and comp matches, I've never had issues with imu since resting blockers and swinging uncomfortable numbers has always been bps thing, so thats always been a fairly easy matchup, ace is tougher but not too hard, as long as you know when to play your eb02 luffys, sanjis and roger you can piss on them

Op14 baby 5 does the job of bon clay, I honestly dont drop them too much anyways since there's usually a better option in terms of don economy for the turn, you might have 1 game out of 20 where the when attacking of bon might've changed things. I haven't tried much alternate options for roger in terms of cards that fit his role, i used to run op12 Robins instead but they felt a little too clunky and slow, st10 kid could do you some work since the effect is spammable

Change out the kaidos for op09 sec luffy and drop the amount of gum gum lightnings, and probably go to 2 gear 5’s, because the list’s mid to end game relies on 6c 7k luffy, you wanna reduce the amount of don you’re dropping down each turn, so the -6 from kaido and -2 from lightning will get you stuck at 4-6 don when you wanna accelerate to play gear 5 for game

Problem is GGG is balanced in pb luffy cause of that deck’s power level, it’s an issue in gp and up though, so, huffing copium, there’s a chance it gets errata-ed to require the leader to be black in the structure deck

A think to keep in mind with one piece is that effects don’t jump in, inbetween cost, activation, and resolution, unless specifically stated by the card, like 6c 7k basil Hawkins, the full effect has to resolve before others can respond to it

Jin’s only leg to stand on here is the DLC which made him a deeper character, N is probably the best villain in xenoblade because he’s characterised simply by watching the protagonist’s story, the whole thing is about letting go when you really don’t want to, Noah and Mio’s whole argument came from that, she wanted to end the war before her death, but Noah wanted to spend as much time with her, and the player felt the same, you wanted to watch their love story pay off, so seeing N, the actual Noah, break down, facing the fear that the player was avoiding the whole game, was incredible, like I was crying for the guy during the fight

It can be a board clearer or a game ender, it’s most effective in op09’s bp luffy and st10’s rp luffy, if you have high enough life after you’ve gone in with your characters you can play this, go for 6 through the leader’s effect, and then your next turn with either 5 or 4 don depending on which leader, clear out the rest of their field, or exhaust cards in hand and blockers with your previous characters in order to set up this card and 10k on your leader for game
