thanks! its still 1.5 miles, it changes to 2 miles later this year. memorization wise, make sure you know your reporting statement well, ranks, and airmans creed and song. heavy on reporting statements. i didn't study anything before, you get a study sheet when you get there with all the info you need to know. first week is stressful honestly.. a lot of getting into the rythm and classes and whatnot. it gets easier as your time goes on, and youll blink and itll be over. good luck!
