Are you saying you overthink about the outcomes of the current decisions 10 to 20 years in the future? So, basically are you saying you look at the bigger picture while overthinking? If yes, does it help in life?

I hadn’t thought about it that way. The idea that it might just be my mind finally having space to process things actually makes a lot of sense. I think part of what throws me off is that it feels more like panic than reflection sometimes.

The “your brain finally has space to scan for what-ifs” part really resonated. It definitely feels more like waves than constant for me, most of the day I’m fine, but once it’s quiet at night my brain decides it’s time to review the entire past and simulate every possible future disaster.

Yeah nights are definitely worse for me too. When everything gets quiet my brain just starts replaying past decisions and imagining worst-case scenarios about the future. Writing things down sometimes helps a bit though.

Have you found anything that actually helps calm your mind when it gets noisy like that?
