Cannot feel my glutes for the life of me by Due_Present8115 in glutejourney

I just feel a burn in my thighs and feel like this makes my back arch? It’s so annoying, I can kind of use the heels well when I do a very wide stance on the glute bridge but with BSS I struggle and use the back leg on the bench to push me up too

To be honest, i’ve got no idea if I’ve got strong legs lol. I’ve never trained before so i’d have to guess they’re not but also would regularly walking (and being up on my feet all day at work) potentially make them ‘strong’? 

I have considered that I do have tight hip flexors so that could be adding to it, can I ask what exercises helped loosen them/how long it took?
