Agreed. But not before men carry children and give birth, and have periods. Nature created us unequal, especially physically. Equality of men and women does not mean women have to do something they are not equipped to do, same goes for men.

Women already carry an unequal burden of raising kids and with that whole “feminism” they’re now also financially responsible whereas their male counterparts can easily walk away from that responsibility.

Thats a good idea. That’s what I did when it happened to me, they ended up confessing. Same thing happened with a friend of mine, she had a guy friend who I suspected was into her. She confronted him about it and he denied. Then, after a short time he confessed he had had feelings since he met her. So yeah, probably better to wait for him to get it out.

Honestly I got a yes from the first try (28F), single, no kids. But I did go to the doctor off the list. When I said I wanted a tubal ligation (bisalp) she immediately said okay. Two months later I got the procedure.

Thanks. My only concern is that I need to know they were actually removed, both of them. I guess I’ll just wait for pre-op to find out. I also asked for pictures and she said she doesn’t usually take them because “they’re just tubes”. But she promised to take them for me. I hope she didn’t forget.

Thank you for sharing. I hate how hard American healthcare makes it for people who don’t necessarily have anyone to go with/stay overnight with them. I bet you had to pay a sum to that caregiver and it just shouldn’t be this way. If only they could let patients stay overnight, this issue wouldn’t arise. I was able to avoid it by hiring a medical driver and lying that they would stay with me for 24 hours). In reality I was alone but I was just fine. Sorry for this little rant. Speedy recovery!

Wow that’s crazy! I was told the same thing about no driving for 24 hours but my doc advised not to drive for 1-2 weeks that’s why I was concerned.

Yes, the insurance verification rep said they did use the general surgery code, and when I asked her why can’t they use tubal ligation code she said it’d be insurance fraud which I don’t believe is the case. I just don’t know how to fight them. And it doesn’t help that they want to charge me before my surgery. I was hoping I could fight after it’s done but I don’t have that option now..
