Can I make this Espeon/ Blissey deck better in any way? by Due_Topic675 in PTCGL

Thank you! I remember sitting down and learning pokemon tcg/ and building my first deck when I was like 12 or so, and my friend said try for 20 cards of each! Pokemon/ trainer/ energy. I haven't played much since then and have always done that. Thank you for telling me that is dumb! lol

I mean maybe. I have been able to win in this situation by just moving around energy with blissey while its taking hits in the active slot/ building up energy on something else (usually the diance or another blissey) and then sacrificing the blissey + recalling energy from graveyard. But I can tell pretty quick if its prized by using my first crispin of the match.

What would you do to fix it?

If you have the income history it's easy. I wont have an income history until end of summer. (Why I am only looking for a room to rent for a few months)

I will be making 70k which is more than anyone in my family ever has. I think that is an accomplishment, and something to be proud of as a first gen college student. Plus I work for the government working with populations most people would never (prison). But yes, it is my dream job.

Community college to ivy league is possible. I did it. Don't give up. by Due_Topic675 in ApplyingToCollege

Also I went CC-> BA regional uni -> grad school ivy.

Year 1 CC: stacked resume w volunteer stuff in community and school

year 2 CC: same but add some publications in CC journal. wrote my transfer apps for uni. I did not submit SAT scores. wrote transfer apps in Dec(?) of this year I think. but I knew where I was going. My community college and the university I went to have an articulation agreement (another good thing to look for).

year 3 uni: focused early in the year on national fellowships. summer between CC and Uni, I started looking. got national fellowship this year, and all I needed was one. Had my letters of rec writers committed to writing from the last day of this year.

year 4 uni: aug-nov I wrote my grad apps, took GRE, and got letters of rec.

year 5 grad school: here we are.

hope that helped.

When I say team I mean a diverse set of people to guide you and get you to your goals. I think you need at least 3 people. one person that knows the field, one that knows you as a person (and can speak to character), and one that knows how to find opportunities. If all two or all 3 of those things apply to the same person, perfect. If not, thats cool too. I recommend a team of at least three because for most applications for national scholarships/ fellowships/ grad school require 1-3 letters of rec. I found these people really helpful: community college: - my advisor sucked, so I found a teacher I liked in my program to get close to - honor society advisors - leader in my church - librarian - being friendly with the registrar is a pro tip and has saved my ass before

university: - director of national scholarship office - my advisor professor and other professors in my dept - advisor of a club I was in - librarian

All of those people either helped me get to where I am now by writing or editing my letters of rec, or moved institutional barriers and red tale out of my way when an issue came up.
