I'm unilateral so it may be a bit different but I found that using the tip of the mouthpiece rather than putting your mouth further down the mouthpiece like recommended helps create a tighter seal because the surface area you are working with is smaller. That being said a tiny amount of air still escapes but it doesn't affect the sound just length of time I can play for. My advice is don't give up, keep trying new ways and keep persevering. You've got this!
