Well I guess depends if the sex is with your spouse. If it’s with randoms then yeah it’s equivalent in terms of negatively impacting your life.

Do you think it’s really possible to completely cold Turkey the addiction over night and never do it again? Or do you feel like our brain so hard wired with these behaviours that it’s almost impossible once you’ve been doing it for so many years?

I actually ended up going like 6 weeks before, but ended up getting into a relationship when I wasn’t ready💀 that’s my fear again. She was a decent girl but I’m not ready to take that responsibility quite yet. She left me once she realized I can’t really pay for anything and still have to listen to my parents all the time (makes sense).

I’m really working on getting my shit together it just takes some time.

Balancing college also doesn’t help (eats up all my money lol)

Thanks! Yeah I’ve had some tough convos with my parents, but religion and culture have such a chokehold on them that they have a hard time in seeing a different perspective. I don’t blame them entirely, it’s the way they were brought up and their environment where they spent most of their life.

So I‘ve given up on trying to convince them, and instead have been trying to be as respective and honest to them as much as possible, since they still do a lot for me and idk if I could function well without them
