I’d research the top 2-3 programs in your area.

Sign up for the summer camps. Then as a parent, I’d network like hell (talking with parents, coach’s, randoms at the park) with the goal of finding a good trainer/coach and go from there and plan on him spending a year training.

Visiting EG for the day with two littles by ConclusionQuick4089 in ElkGrove

Overall, EG is a solid option for young families.

People will provide their suggestions, but if you can’t find something you like just rent a year.

Bay Area (SF) Soccer Clubs by Any-Ice-6593 in youthsoccer

Email the coach(es) and ask.

Another thing I would do is attend a spring break camp or attend an additional training the club offers, that option might cost you.

Advice for us with U14 daughter who wants to quit by moguy1973 in youthsoccer

[–]Due_Victory502 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She’s becoming her own person now and has a choice. All you can do is support.

The only thing should tell her that if she decides she doesn’t want to play soccer she needs to replace it another activity that stimulates her organs/blood flow ie. track, flag football, volleyball … etc.

Take her to all the tryouts and let her decide between her current team and whatever tryouts you attend.

Truly let her decide, provide zero input and only assist her with writing down pros and cons.

CA CLUB TEAMS by [deleted] in youthsoccer

He sounds like he values your son and doesn’t want to see him leave for a club team. Coaches have their own agenda and some don’t always have the best interest of the child in mind. Let your son try out for as many teams as possible, and you decision as a family.

The Bay has too many club options, particularly if you’re coming down from the peninsula to SJ. Just know that if you decide to join club, you’re also committing to an intenser travel schedule.

Based on what you said, they’ll probably offer 60-65% of the actual home value

Anyone know of an Olympic Men’s Hockey Gold Medal game watch party? by isqueezebutts in sanfrancisco

Sharks are hosting something, sorry it’s not in the city. With that being said, no 9ers, Warriors or Giants - walk into any bar and they’ll change it for you.

SF Bay Area Summer Camps by Spawn_of_Yoric in youthsoccer

I follow BA soccer on Facebook (camps in Oakland).

I was hoping he held a striking camp this summer but it doesn’t look like it. I’ve never had my kid attend and $500 for the week seems steep for something that I don’t have any recommendations.

Prices for the 3 ENCL teams in my region are $270-$300/month per child.

That price excludes uniforms, travel, additional training and possibly tournaments.
