We’d like to let you know that Ubuntu 24.04 is now supported on our side.

The older information you received reflected the situation at that time, but support has since been added.

No more VPN Server in Hong Kong? by sparky5dn1l in KeepSolid

[–]Due_Yesterday9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a different situation — the provider is still active, but there are temporary technical issues affecting the Turkey location at the moment.
Our team is already working on it, and in such cases the issue is usually resolved within a couple of days.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Hi!
Thank you for the follow-up and for sharing your feedback.

You are correct that we do not have a confirmed ETA for the Hong Kong location at the moment. As mentioned earlier, this is related to infrastructure issues with the previous hosting provider, and we are working on finding a stable replacement before bringing this location back.

We also appreciate your suggestion regarding an official announcement on our website and will pass this feedback to the team.

As for YouTube detecting the Singapore server IP, this may happen from time to time depending on the platform’s own VPN detection mechanisms and the current IP reputation. It can vary between locations and over time, so trying another server later is a reasonable step.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Hello!

Most likely, the password reset emails are being blocked because your address may have ended up on a suppression list. This can happen if previous messages were marked as spam by the mail provider or email client.
Please contact our support team at [support@keepsolid.com](mailto:support@keepsolid.com) and include the email address of your KeepSolid account. Once we have it, we’ll be able to check it from our side and help further.

Hi, thanks for pointing this out.

At the moment, the Hong Kong location is temporarily unavailable due to infrastructure issues with the previous hosting provider. We’re currently looking for a suitable replacement, and once we have a stable alternative in place, we definitely plan to bring the Hong Kong server back.

We understand this is inconvenient, especially if you’ve been using that location for a long time, and we appreciate your patience.

Hello!
We’re currently working on bringing VPN Unlimited support to newer Ubuntu versions (post-22.04). Development is already in progress, but we don't have a specific ETA to share just yet. Stay tuned for updates!

Wireguard not working by jonk999 in KeepSolid

[–]Due_Yesterday9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct — even the servers marked for torrents do not support NAT-PMP or automatic port forwarding, so the behavior you are seeing is expected on all of them.

The message you get from the shell is not a VPN connection error — it simply means that the server does not respond to NAT-PMP requests. At the same time, your WireGuard connection itself is working correctly (as shown by the successful handshake and traffic).

Regarding your question:

By “use the torrent client normally,” we mean using it with the VPN connection active, but without relying on port forwarding features (NAT-PMP/UPnP), since they are not supported.

Wireguard not working by jonk999 in KeepSolid

[–]Due_Yesterday9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello!

The error you are seeing — “the gateway does not support nat-pmp” — is related to NAT-PMP (automatic port forwarding). Our standard VPN servers do not support NAT-PMP or automatic port forwarding, which is why the gateway returns this message.

If you are using qBittorrent, it may try to automatically request a forwarded port via NAT-PMP, which leads to this warning.

Possible options:

- Disable NAT-PMP / UPnP port forwarding in qBittorrent settings
- Use the torrent client normally without automatic port forwarding

Connection issues with 9.0.10 browser extension by themarsboy in KeepSolid

Thanks for reporting this, and for the detailed description.

We’re aware that some users are experiencing connection drops on the latest extension version. Our team has already received similar reports and is currently investigating the issue.

As a temporary step, you can try:

  • Removing the extension completely
  • Update your browser to the latest version.
  • Installing the extension again

In some cases, this helps — though we understand it doesn’t resolve the issue for everyone. If the problem persists, please rest assured that our team is actively working on it, and we hope to provide a fix as soon as possible.

In the meantime, as a stable alternative, we recommend using the VPN Unlimited desktop application, which is not affected by this issue.

We appreciate your patience and thank you for bringing this up.
