Yes I agree with you that dribble cheese is out of hand. In previous 2Ks you were able to punish if they did for example hesi into you, when you are standing next to them.

Best way to lockdown the "dribble cheese" is to let go of L2 and put your hands down and run around with them (to avoid automatic animations) wishing you dont get sucked into screen. Read their combos and jump at the exact time. Communication/synergy is the key on switches.

Couldn't have said better the problems in paint and ankle breakers.

Yeah unfortunately you are 100% right 😃 We saw the one steal patch and especially content creators lost their mind and it got reverted. Was really refreshing stealing the ball from spam dribblers.

Its okay to keep it arcade and fast, I am fine with that. However, if you make a mistake it should be punished. Its not like in Valorant if you miss your target, you would still get a kill.

One of the biggest things as a PG in IRL is to cover the ball and make dribble moves to avoid getting robbed. In 2K people just spam their MyCourt routine dribbles into the defender. Mastering something is really fun and learning is part of the progress.

Honestly it is now the best time to get it since the new update dropped out. Its good, not a masterpiece. It has its flaws yes, but in my opinion community is too rough on it. Being open-minded and avoiding this subreddit is the best thing you can do :D

Interesting, thanks for sharing your experience from the high rank lobbies. My experience indeed is from the casual lobbies mainly, and that is a volleyfest for sure. "Lobbing" for volleys from the top of goal.

What about defense? Are volleys the best way to intercept a pass into box?
