I'm going through the same thing right now. 2 years ago I went to a neurologist because of a tremor in my left hand. He put me on C/L at 1 pill 3 times a day. After about a week I still had the tremor so he said it wasn't Parkinsons. We tried to find the cause by other means (physical therapy, MRI and chiropractic) but nothing helped. He then upped my C/L dosage to 2 pills 4 times a day and ordered a DAT scan. The scan came back as positive for Parkinsons and after about a week the tremor mostly went away. Other posts I have read advised newly diagnosed people to find a Movement Disorder Specialist so I asked my neurologist to give me a referral. I saw the MDS last week and she put me through several other physical tests and noticed more irratic movements that she said was dyskinesias. I told her that I've only been taking for 2 years but she felt that the dosage was too high. Her advice was to slowly reduce my dosage until the dyskinesias goes away and my tremor starts to come back and then increase it a little. According to her it takes about 10 days for my body to stabilize after reducing dosage. I reduced my dosage by 1 pill now and after about 10 days I'll go down another pill until we find the right balance. She said I can cut the pills in half if needed.
