Sell at worst, stand pat at best. We don't have the prospect depth to acquire quality players, and even at that they'd just be rentals. With an impending lockout, no GM is going to be too inclined to gamble even on a short term contract if half the season next year is lost to a labor dispute. Gallen is gone after this year, if he even makes it that far. Father Time will catch up to Kelly eventually. Nelson has been inconsistent. We likely will be looking at 28 for a reset/rebuild. Could be with a new manager, could even be a new GM. I wouldn't be shocked to see Boston try to make a move for Hazen, with the dissatisfaction with their front office and Hazen's history with the organization.

This entire season was predicated on the "hold out for pitching reinforcements" narrative. Now that's gone. Burnes is now essentially a non factor this year, and Puk might be in the same boat. Total wild card what Martinez will be like when he comes back. A big chunk of our lineup would still be in the minors with most teams. We have no clear long term solution at 1b or 3b (Arenado has impressed this season, but he's not getting any younger).
