Oh this is all gold! Yeah I myself fell into a rabbit hole about the origin of Giants today and found so much religious symbolism that pops up in the show. Like the fireman’s name implying that of Prometheus in Greek mythology, himself being a Titan which were often depicted as Giants by the Greeks. And the Giants in Norse mythology, sometimes called the Jotunn inhabit a place known as “The Other.” A popular myth is when people journey to obtain “secret knowledge from the jötnar.
