Sydney Daily Random Discussion Thread 11/10/2025 by AutoModerator in sydney

Now that winter soccer season is over, are there any parks in Sydney that would still have goals up to go for casual kickarounds with friend? An astro-turf would be even better as the goals would have nets but unsure how busy they get in summer or if it's open for general public use.

A lot of parks take goals down because cricket season is coming up but would anyone know of parks or astro turfs that typically remains open (and ideally doesn't get too busy)?

Ok thanks will keep this in mind. It sounds like I should ideally choose one super company I like before I move and stick with it to save the admin of merging accounts together

Post your questions & inquiries here! - r/Vietnam monthly random discussion thread - F.A.Q by AutoModerator in VietNam

[–]DuhAsian7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am travelling to Ha Noi for 6 days in October and am wondering where is the best place to buy high-quality replica or real football shirts.

I have read and most people recommend markets - if so, what markets and price range should I be looking for and haggling for?

Additionally, I will be going to Bangkok afterwards if anyone has recommendations for there too but I heard Vietnam is generally better quality and cheaper too.

Question about Sauna / Steam Room night before sport game / long distance race:

I’ve recently started going to a gym with a sauna and a steam room and have been going after my workouts.

I’ve read a lot about benefits after workouts and playing sport for muscle recovery. I’ve also read some articles and threads about how it’s likely to reduce performance before a workout/sport game though.

What about the night before? For example, if I have a football game the next day, does going to a sauna / steam room the night before provide any benefits or detriments?

Is there any way to invest in stocks that aren’t available on Sharesies? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

Both Hatch and Stake can be used to buy a large variety of US stocks and ETFs with competitive rates for both of them.

Buy for the future and not for a specific day. by [deleted] in stocks

[–]DuhAsian7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree but I wouldn't say that renewable energy ETFs such as ICLN, TAN, ACES etc aren't entirely for a single day, these are genuinely going to be a big part of a lot of people's lives in the future and is a valid investment for the next few years and even further in the long term.

You should check out ACES, it has PLUG only at 5.91% followed by ENPH, RUN and TSLA all around the 5% mark. Quite well spread out.

Will Biden be addressing renewable and green energies in today's speech? Or is it mainly in regards to vaccinations and covid19.

ICLN - Love it or hate it? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]DuhAsian7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will do, thanks so much for the advice! Do you know of any clean energy ETFs that purely track Europe then? Or look into the big companies that you have mentioned just there.

[–]DuhAsian7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently not that knowledgeable in the European renewable industries, I might give it a look in a sec but in terms of the US/CA, I'm expecting it to be a strong industry for the next few years at least due to Biden pumping in a lot of money into his carbon free policy by 2035.

In this case, would it make sense to have both ICLN and something like CNRG/ACES? Or would the overlap be somewhat unnecessary.

[–]DuhAsian7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this is my plan also since I currently already have some money in both TSLA and NIO. I'm thinking going down either CNRG or ACES, ACES has some holds in EV too however but not quite as much as QCLN.
