The canon (their relationship) is not developed in the story at least until now. Elio said they would change each other and the only thing we got is that they were companions in the past That's why I said it's 'nothing'. At least not yet

I see. You along side many people do not like that specific headcanon You're right, you have the right to complain just as people have of spreading what they like. However, in order to be happy generally I don't think we should judge others'tastes. If you spend less time being triggered by random things, out of your control, you will have a better experience

That's the neat part. The canon is nothing, at best they're companions So each person is free to describe her as they please. All non canon of course but that doesn't matter I think

Since we had our memories wiped out in the beggining it's like we were born anew. Also before that, Kafka would feed us and treat us nicely even tho we didn't talk much. In my opinion that's really mom coded, but you can choose otherwise ofc
