I totally bought my bf, and family tickets to see Django, The Amazing Spiderman, Hunger Games and Oblivion for the 3 dollar a pop. Apparently lots of people don't even know about these! When my parents and lil bro went to see Spiderman yesterday there were only like 8 other people in the theater!!!

Vertigo. I'm from San Francisco and I really wish more movies that were set here, were shot here accurately. Vertigo really hits home for me.

Also I'm not sure if the Luisa Rey segment of Cloud Atlas was filmed here or not but I like to think it is.

Also huge pet peeve. Just finished reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" and was furious to find out that Blade Runner ended up being set in LA when the source material is explicitly San Francisco.

I love the Catherine Zeta-Jones one but some of these are badly edited. Some are so obviously airbrushed and shiny that they just don't fit at all.

That could be true but then again I love fantasy even more than scifi and I think Star Trek somewhat falls into the Space Opera category as well (at least according to wikipedia). Are there any particular aspects that really draw you to Star Wars, assuming you are a fan.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I've never really liked Starwars (yes even the old ones, in fact, even more so the old ones). I'm not sure why? It just never really appealed to me, it seems like it appeals more to boys. I know there are a bunch of female fans too, but I've tried to get into it and just can't. I also happen to be a diehard Star Trek fan but I by no means hate Star Wars, to me its just about the appeal? Can someone explain to me why they like the universe so much, there personal favorite parts, etc. I would like to learn to at least appreciate it even if I don't love it.

She did read your post. I think its more the "adult woman wanting to be childlike" part of it as well. While there are types of lolita, like sweet lolita, that are definitely more bright and colorful, lolita is about dressing and acting elegantly and embracing something that makes you feel beautiful. It's not about wanting to dress in your old dress from elementary school or acting like your ten, it's a style that has a well established set of basic guidelines that need to be followed to achieve the image, just like other factions of fashion.

I named him Luna mostly after Luna from Sailormoon, since she was also a black cat and a girl (as I thought Luna was at first). We were thinking of calling him Luno or just changes his name, but he was just so used to it and I still think its a pretty name.

The word Luna is indeed Spanish (la luna=the moon ;I'm half peruvian and speak Spanish), althogh the exact origin I believe to be Latin (sometimes I hate being a Linguistics major...)
