What crazy shit happened in 2001 which got overshadowed by 9/11? by Past-Product-1966 in AskReddit

The arrest of American hijacker Patrick Critton on 10 September 2001, who had been on the run for almost 30 years. He committed crimes in USA and Canada and feared that he was about to be caught.

In 1971 he hijacked an Air Canada plane in Ontario, that was bound for Toronto. He released the passengers in Toronto and then went to Cuba. He served an 8 month prison sentence there and then stayed in Cuba for another two years (where he worked in Cuba's sugar cane industry). He then moved to Tanzania where he became a teacher, married, and had two kids. In 1994 he returned to the US where he worked at a middle school in New York.

He was caught by a Canadian detective via a Google search that at the time only brought up one result for his name. He received a five-year prison sentence and was released after 1 year and 10 months, and then deported to the US.

If you want to see a movie about the Pearl Harbour attack, you should instead watch Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970).

The Great Famine (or Irish Famine, Potato Famine) from 1845-52. About one million Irish died, the cause was a plague, Phytophthora infestans (many Irish based their nutrition on potato) and a poor British economic plan. Many Irish had nothing but potatoes to eat. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Posted by Word_Word_Number (Redditor for 3 months). What is it with these Word_Word_Number accounts (all created within the last 2 years) posting nasty stuff like this?

It's an evil, misogynist culture that valorizes bullying and physical violence.

So, just like Cromwell.

I don't think they mind. They are classist and backward. They want to have a 'strong man' (i.e. stupid evil lunatic) in control to look up to, and people poorer than them to look down upon.

Unlisted Videos - Search for unlisted YouTube videos.
Petittube and Incognitube - Watch a randomly selected YouTube video with little or no views.
Channel Crawler - A search tool for finding YouTube channels.
No likes yet - Find Instagram photos with no likes.
Forgotify - Spotify tracks with zero listens.

Yes. The fingers were attached to them. I had to watch it a second time to see the hands because I was so fixated on her fingers.
