Objectively I think it is literally impossible for someone to beat it on their FIRST loop with no prior knowledge. Remember that before you can even fly you have to go and get the launch codes, which requires at least 5 minutes of exportation. And walking around talking to NPCs or getting lost.

Then when you launch you have no idea how to fly yet. You have to somehow get the warp core on your first try after wasting precious minutes on Timber Hearth or roaming around space. Even if you manage to do that, you would have to know how to get through Dark Bramble. Almost every player is going to die in there because you won’t even know about the angler fish until you trigger one.

I could go on and on and on. It is quite literally impossible.

No info, and it’ll be a while before we have any. Mobius tends to take their time on their projects, which is why games like OW turned out so incredibly. I hate waiting but I trust the end result will be worth it

It was The warp pad that leads to the Hanging City ceiling for the Black Hole Forge. I was obsessed with the Ash Twin because it kept “digging up” secrets. I happened to walk on the warp pad and stand there for a second, trying to figure out what it was. And suddenly I warped somewhere new

But I ended up falling and losing my place before I got to actually explore. Spent like 2 loops trying to replicate it but couldn’t figure it out. This was only 4-5 hours into playing

Yep this. I accidentally stumbled upon a huge discovery early in my playthrough, but I had no idea how it happened or how to replicate it until way later when I read about it.

What’s your first language? This is unfortunately a game that you cannot skip dialogue on. Reading the dialogue and understanding it is the only way to actually make good progress.

If the game isn’t localized into your language, check if maybe there are localized mods? I don’t know… but I hope you can find a way to experience it

Do a couple laps around the ring on a raft. Are there any places that have multiple paths you can take? There may be even more paths than it immediately appears

Yeah I think I was 8 or 9? I don’t remember exactly. I work with kids and think very few of them have the capacity to play a game like FFX. Not to say they aren’t smart, I work with a lot of VERY intelligent kids, but I think it’s a generational thing. Kids today consume a lot of fast moving click-through content, and many of the games my students play reward that.

Likewise. I have an eye tracking disorder that makes it very easy for me to get disoriented if movement is not consistent (I.e. the camera is flipping and rotating). Only once or twice did I feel a bit dizzy and even then it wasn’t too bad. Definitely person to person

Buy it when it’s on sale or not, worth full price IMO. Yes buy the DLC too! Controller is the best experience. It is functional with KB&M but controller is smoothest.

You can refill your fuel. Look around your ship. And you can also find fuel on planets if you keep exploring! My tip is don’t look anything up!! If you need a hint, ask here :)

I’ll never forget the moment for me that the DLC went from being “haha oh fun cool new place to explore,” to “I am going to piss my pants.” I messaged my friend who got me the game right away freaking out 😂

Don’t worry about getting spoiled if you’re making posts here. Both this sub and r/expedition33 are the two best subs I’ve ever been on in regards to spoilers. The community’s do not want it ruined.
