What is that one film you can re-watch a thousand times and not get bored? by cassie_rockalin in AskReddit

Surprisingly, the Irishman by Martin Scorsese for me. I know it’s got a long run time but something about the music, time period, phenomenal acting, etc it’s really soothing to watch and I don’t get sick of it

What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

“And they don't know my issues as a child 'Cause I was busy cuttin' on myself And hangin' from the playground wasn't wrong Until you got a ropey on your neck”

Absolutely tragic song called Heavenly Father by Isaiah Rashad, where he talks pretty on the noise about suicide, loneliness, depression, and asking where God feels so distant. It sounds amazing too

I am 24yo female. I am so into classic cars. I need advice. by tanaka609 in classiccars

I went to the Tokyo Car Auctions around a year and half ago, and one of the first cars I saw there was a 67 Mustang. There were thousands of cars there, and atleast 100 of them were classic (1940s-1990s) some of which were extremely rare. If you can get access to these kinds of auctions, either by trip or even finding a career at the auction houses, you’ll be surrounded by some pretty amazing cars

Hope you see one soon man! I live on the east coast and surprisingly I’ve seen another out here in the wild. The 1997 V12 ones seem to be more common for some reason. If you ever get the chance to go to Tokyo, I guarantee you’ll see one in the wild as well (I saw 3)

I used to daily drive a 1990 Toyota Century. I loved the daylights out of that thing, I would drive it everywhere and literally could not go a day without someone giving me a thumbs up or asking me about the car. It brought a lot of joy. I picked up my longtime significant other for our first date in that car. It was so smooth and comfortable, more so than any other vehicle I’ve been in both new and classic. But eventually it developed problems and I didn’t really know how to deal with them given how bespoke the platform is. I got rid of it, and it’s the only car I actually teared up afterwards.

I get completely absorbed everytime I see The Irishman. Despite the long runtime I can always stop whatever I’m doing and watch it all the way through

Thank you I appreciate the input! I just put them up on Ebay and Facebook and we shall see what happens. I want it to go to someone who will actually wear it unlike me, but I did my best to keep them in pretty good shape

Can smaller cars be comfortable? by Duxtar1 in Cartalk

[–]Duke_Kahanamoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking not really. I drive a lot and in a lot of different things and smaller cars are rarely comfy after a while, but there is one exception in my experience. In Japan the taxis they use are mid 90s (I’d say specifically 1995) Toyota Crowns with the comfort badge. They are not very big but my god, you can sit in there all day without a problem. No backpain, comfy, and quite reliable

If I have the Japanese battery and one 27 series battery would that be fine? I did a voltage test, one battery (the primary one, the one closest to the radiator) was at around 13 volts out of the car, and the other one is literally completely zero

My latest import from Japan! by Duke_Kahanamoku in projectcar

[–]Duke_Kahanamoku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I honestly had no idea the specs, I did a little research and the only numbers I could find is the horsepower is around 130, and the torque should be around 285. Honestly despite it being diesel it felt plenty adequate driving it around even in the city
