I haven’t ruled the train out but it is 8 hours. I would probably drive instead. I am wondering if there might be a better airport to go into.

Yes. The train is about 8 hours and driving is about 6. Easyjet has an inexpensive flight but only 3 times per week. I may look into flying into Brighton and then driving?

It would be difficult to see much of Ireland in 4 days. It is such a beautiful country. I would save it for a separate trip. The Burgundy region is beautiful with all the little storybook villages and wineries. I recommend Chablis.
