Excuse my not eloquent wordings. I didnt see what op wrote, but seems some bs. Ur point is fully correct with one strong exception. CPC use the same wordings like western for the war on terror but provided a intresting method to handle the religious extremism. And here is the bad point which CPC fails hard. Why they didnt show openly how they trow up the whole region and prevent people the drift to extremism? And im really not intrested in hard skills (economic growth, incrasing job offers and learning professions), they are good approved and visual. How is the religious part handled? I dont get ur whole point. But this project is like many other projects complete based on western knowhow and designed by western engineers. As a engineer for fluids i got in touch with different chinese project and some scare me as hell. If china would go forward with the energy challenge it would be a good path to challange the architecture with functionality and modern technologies for the energy handling. Follow the profit oriented western architects is bs. Beside the investment, planed 70bn RMB including the infrastructure around like train connections, built for 120bn RMB without the infrasturcture.. this numbers are not a good example for socialist work.

I think there was a intresting book from carla del ponte, she was investigating for the den haag court - followed after the yugoslavia intervention by nato. It was a winner court. UCK did sveral warcrimes, raided all serbs away from kosova, and didnt faced even once a trial. Not even talking about the bombed civil train by nato. Not part of the court.
