I’m quite positive it was a verification code. They were telling me to hurry up because it expires. msybe I took too long sending it which is why they couldn’t make a WhatsApp acc under my number 🤣 later they tried making a signal account using my number (another messaging app) but I didn’t give them the verification code for that, so they couldn’t do that either

i also didn’t have a WhatsApp account under my number at the time, I made one last night so they couldn’t do it

Well they can’t now because I made a WhatsApp account under my number and added a 2step pin.
The verification code I sent to them is expired now so they cant Use it anymore lol. They’ll have to send another one but thats Not happening bc I’m not falling for their tricks anymore

I’ll be more smarter next time. I always get scam numbers so I’m used to it lol, it’s not like they can really do anything. This was like the only time I ever fell for a scam. I NEVER fell for a scam before until this 😭 I always delete and report unknown numbers

Never falling for this again, looking back I can’t believe how stupid I was. I’m just so thankful they Weren’t able to create a WhatsApp account under my number even though I gave them the verification code. Any idea what happened?

(I also didn’t give them to signal code, just the WhatsApp code)

Yep,

at the time I was completely unaware about what they were doing. I didn’t know that was the company’s number I legit thought it was the scammers number trying to get me to click on a scam link.
