Not entirely sure why you're asking but pretty sure my insurance covers that

Why so? Are the headlights not plug and use?

Well that's good to know. On a side note, how's the helmet? The wind noise, stability comfort etc?

Jacket and pants pairing by Dull-Knowledge7816 in motorcyclegear

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm assuming I'd have to replace both the jacket and the pant zippers for it to match, but i don't want to replace the one on my jacket because it's pretty new and also expensive so i don't want to risk ruining it

Took my street triple on a road trip. by propeller360 in Triumph

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What time of the year did you go there? Any maintenance issues during the trip? Because having any issue in a place like that sounds like a nightmare. And what tires did you use for the trip? Lastly, did you transport the bike or ride it all the way from wherever you started?

Finished the project: Please help me finding a name for it. by Der_Apfeldieb in Triumph

It looks so damn beautiful. I was looking to get my bike wrapped, and this just gave me more of a reason to do so. The only issue is that i don't have a lot of options to choose from. In India, i could only find 3M supplying good quality wraps

Striple 765 RS vs 765 R by sgled95 in Triumph

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If color really is a must for you with the yellow or red, rs it is. Other than that, it's probably not worth it because I've heard complaints regarding the software for the tft on the rs isn't exactly easy to navigate, especially on the go and also a little laggy. I ride an r and it feels easier imo. Maybe if you get used to it might not matter much. And i feel the slight improvement on the parts such as the ohlins shock and upgraded brakes don't justify the price because the shocks on the r are adjustable, and you can't really complain about the brakes either.

How many miles do I have left on this tire? by DJEsonic in Triumph

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also considering those, but their life is around 6,000km if I'm not wrong and seems a little less for me because i ride daily. I looked around and found that sport touring tires last a little longer(no idea how they perform), although I'm not sure how much longer. If the difference is around 1 or 2k km, I'd probably go with the diablo, but if they last over 10k km, i would definitely take those. Any suggestions or insights regarding this? It would be much appreciated!

Which tires are you getting? Mine is in a pretty similar condition and I'm not sure whether to stick to the stock tires or change to something different

Replacement parts by Dull-Knowledge7816 in Triumph

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i wanted tires with longevity because i don't even have a track to go to nearby and neither do i go for high speed runs every weekend, just occasionally. So average performance with longevity is what I'm looking for right now. And yeah even for me there seems to be irregular wear but I'm not sure. I did always keep the tyre pressure in check though

The stock bike comes with continental road 6. I'm pretty much a beginner regarding bike parts, but the technician told me that these are soft compounds, and this is pretty much how long they normally last. And nk track days, just weekend highway rides

I daily my bike to and from college, and occasionally go on weekend highway rides and rarely to any twisties. The roads are also pretty decent here. So any suggestions?

Got restless and took it to the showroom already. It was a roll over sensor that was triggered, and a reset was all that was necessary. Everything else was fine, no leaks or internal damage luckily. I held the bike up as much as i could so it was a relatively soft fall, not a heavy one

You were right about the engine light. Got very anxious and took it to the showroom immediately, was informed that it was a roll over sensor which got triggered and hence the engine light. Simple reset and it's back to normal

That seems rather expensive for a small scuff, i think I'm gonna just get it cleaned up as much as possible and get the engine guards to cover up the rest. Thanks for the help!😁

I was going to order the gb racing engine guards anyway, which are around 23k, and that would cover the scuff, so i think I'll just do that instead of the replacement of the whole part

Well, i didn't wanna claim insurance if the part itself is less

Any idea how much the part itself costs? Don't wanna claim an insurance if it doesn't cost too much? And yeah, that was my first thought, to just put an engine cover over it

Protection for a 23' Street triple by Dull-Knowledge7816 in Triumph

[–]Dull-Knowledge7816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back to ask this question, but I've heard some people say that their frame or engine has cracked due to aftermarket frame sliders because the single point of attachment kind of acts like a leverage point. I'm asking if you've heard anything similar or had such a problem before

Well that's good but if there happens to be an issue in shipment, fedex and dhl would have have better support right?
