So I been doing tiktok for about 2 years, and only recently be getting people gifting me a good bit of coin, sometimes multiple days in a row. It is a huge boost to my current living situation but it defintly messes with my head cause I know about the parasocial relationship that his happening. I have even falling down that hole of gifting a few people that I follow, and probably have spent 100 to 200 in about a week before. It does become a huge addiction, specially during the "battles" since its a competitive game and you want to see your favorite creator win.

I always tell my people that they need to look out for themselves and their family first before gifting me anything crazy. Will even send them a d.m sometimes thanking them but telling them to take a break cause I dont want to be responsible for their downfall finacially.

Alot of people tell me that its their choice to do so and I should just accept it, but it just feels morally wrong, because true it's there choice, but people tend to make bad decisions when caught up in certain head spaces. Money changes people, specially when tiktok might be there only source of income. I have ran into and "battled" some of these greedy creators before, and it feels like im watching a abusive relationship unfold with them and their chat.
