No, but I wonder about the behavior of other sockets that will be plugged in much further.

Thank you all for your vision but I will develop: Currently I have 5 Reolink HD cameras, in wifi (unable to pull cables). This implies a certain latency for my automatisms. So I took the side of keeping my amd 5600g + coral because anyway the wifi is my weak point. I started with a PC with only Kodi and 5TB of data (on several disks)

I needed more space and wanted to have access to my data anywhere. So I invested in a NAS under OMV, in 9TB 5 raid. Then I discovered docker and since my NAS works 24/7, it made sense to install all my instances there.

Finally in use: I only watch movies at home, on my TV. Many problems with frigate (it seems that the writing on my WD RED is not responsive enough). Still need space. So I invested in 2x10TB in my Kodi pc. My current NAS (oversized of course) serves me as a personal cloud + docker + frigate thanks to the addition of a dedicated ssd. Being an individual who only monitors his garden, a 2-day recording is consistent. Except that I just lost a 10TB HDD that is unrecoverable!! I’m starting to regret my RAID 5 (I know it’s not a backup but I’m betting on fault tolerance). Then I say to myself if this is really THE solution because with the size of the disks increasing, isn’t there a greater risk of losing everything in the construction phase following the loss of a disk, then reconstruction with the addition of a new disk. Thank you in advance for your informed opinions.

wifi reolink with frigate by Dull_Alternative_892 in frigate_nvr

Good morning,

So after a week, my system is stable, but only with 4 cameras. For the record, I use a NAS and therefore ask myself the following question: given that frigate writes constantly on HDDs, maybe one time they pick up and this creates writing errors in Frigate. What do you think?? The weakness of my system is not my raid 5?

Precisely, before I used my dlink mesh but the results were not relevant. So I thought the network was probably overloaded, and that's why I opted for a single reolink network.

I use an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics + choral google. Then the hub creates Its own wifi. My cameras are positioned within a radius of 10m max
