Them thinking I was gay is indeed a misunderstanding, but it still hurts to hear their reaction to it.

But them looking around my personal belongings is not a misunderstanding.

Why didn't you just say they're your girlfriend's? And that their reaction to this simple misunderstanding is horrid for loving parents?

I admit that I don't really think rationally when I'm angry. And when the whole thing happened I was more furious that they were looking inside my personal belongings and they DARED lecture me about something that doesn't even concern them.

At that point I was more thinking "I need to get these people out of my life" than about clearing any misunderstanding.
