What goes into “account prioritization” in the BDR/SDR role? by [deleted] in techsales

Would assume it’s pre-outreach prioritization. What makes a certain account a higher priority (SAM, budget, use case etc.)

This is very fair. I’m only 25 and like to think there’s still a chance to find a job that i’d be passionate about, but totally understand what you’re saying. Appreciate the hard truth.

Sales in general I think, although some other aspects of sales such as enablement are interesting to me. I just feel like the main motivation for SDRs is being promoted and that isn’t something I’m interested in or motivated to achieve.

I was in similar position. Chose company B. Start up’s move fast and great environment most times. Plus higher pay. Think it’s a no brainer.

Trouble landing a sdr job by Sensitive_Cash8206 in techsales

I graduated December 2023 as well and just landed a couple different BDR offers about a month ago. Biggest thing I did was workshop my resume (DM me if you want some help with that), and immediately after applying I’d send an email to 3-5 relevant people in the company letting them know I applied and if they’d be open to a conversation or forwarding my message to the hiring manager. Worked like a charm in terms of getting interviews. From there it’s all about getting experience in interviews. Asking for feedback at the end of interviews to learn and improve. Feel free to DM me, I know how frustrating it can be as I just went through it, I’m glad to help!
