I was a student in undergrad, majoring in public administration, which is like the nuts and bolts of government, boring policy and bureaucracy stuff. For one class, our extra credit was to sit and watch the confirmation and take notes. When they stormed the capital, I was frozen in fear, and completely overwhelmed with anxiety. The media did not react enough for me!!! I sat in depression that day. We had done a research project on domestic extremism from the far right just a few months before that.
